Northumberland Hotel London Reviews page 3
Based on 60 Hotel ReviewsMy friends and I had a lovely time staying at Northumberland Hotel and I would definetely stay here if I were to visit London again. The location is excellent, the staff were extremelly nice and helpful, the bathroom was right across our room and it was always clean and equipped with toilet paper and soap. The room was small and had some graffitti by previous visitors on the walls, which is typical of youth hostels, but other than that, it was given to us in excellent condition. We also got clean towels every day and we could borrow a hair dryer from the reception when needed. If all you're looking for is a bed to sleep on after sightseeing all day and a hot shower in the morning, this is the place to stay. Basic accommodation at great value.
In front of King's Cross, position is very strategic! The staff were very nice and polite.
I stayed at this hotel on 21st may 2010. The room was far too small, there was mould on the walls and ceiling. Plaster hanging off the walls, mice under the sink in our room. I had to sit downstairs until early hours of the morning as the window was screwed shut and there was no air. The bedding was dirty. The carpets had holes in. I was very unhappy with my stay
The hotel was disgusting, the room was basic to say the least with pealing wallpaper and a plaster falling from the walls. The shower rooms and toilets were no better. The whole hotel was very shabby. The only good thing I could say was that the towels and linen appeared clean and the reception staff were friendly
Very basic room, but bright and clean. A bit noisy and difficult to get fresh air into since it was just above a Kebab shop. The house is old and worn down but the bathrooms are clean. Friendly staff, even though a bit helpless when asked for directions for transport or shops. Good value for money.
Requested to change rooms due to shabby décor. Hygene was not up to youth hostel standard.
No sink in the bedroom. Bathroom was shared with too many others. Location was good. The staff were pleasant.
I recently stayed at the Northumberland Hotel and really enjoyed it. The staff were so lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. The living conditions were quite basic but the location and staff made up for this. I would choose to stay here again.
Rooms are small and the interior very old fashioned, but there are efforts made to keep it clean and its pretty cheap. I got what I expected. Fair price and quality.
The people running the place were nice, but not as efficient as I would have wished. Big problems with the toilet and lack of water. Our room had holes in the ceiling.
