Piccolino Hotel Reviews page 3
Based on 63 Hotel ReviewsVery happy overall. Very clean hotel and very friendly. Helpful and welcoming staff. 2 single rooms. One room excellent(Room 10). Disappointed that we requested 2 single rooms as close as possible to each other and one was in basement and the other 4 flights of stairs away. Would stay again.
A cosy hotel in a pleasant part of Paddington, near shops, bars and Hyde Park. The owners were helpful and efficient but not particularly chatty. The room in the basement was comfortable and clean and fair value for money. Wifi didn't seem to work at all on the first night but was fine the second night. The TV didn't work properly on arrival and there was no remote, but the owner quickly arrived with a Sky box. I wasn't sure what to expect but I was happy with my stay here.
Room was OK, but stuffy. Could only have the window fully open or closed, nothing in between. Breakfast was a big disappointment, I was aware that there would be only a continental breakfast, but expected to at least get a proper cup of coffee, not instant!
Very satisfied. All the staff in the reception were very kind and very service minded, always ready to help with advice etc. The ladies serving the breakfast were equally very service minded and quick and did their outmost to make the clients feel at home. Only "black cloud" - on our last night some very, very noisy clients arrived and made it very difficult for us getting a good night's sleep. A thou rough spring cleaning of the room would do no harm.
It was so nice to stay at Picolino Hotel. The breakfast was warm and the staff were very nice.
The staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful. The hotel is small but cozy. However, the room window could not be properly closed due to a TV cable leading from the inside to the outside. Also, the hotel does not have central heating. As a result the room was extremely cold, especially at night. Furthermore, the blankets were very dirty and full of stains which are something the hotel should most definitely pay more attention to. Best regards.
Delightful B&B hotel near Paddington station. Front desk clerks very helpful and polite. Room very clean, although bathroom small - so small when sitting on the toilet, your legs are under the sink. Has SKY television, but extremely limited selection of channels. WIFI internet available without charge. Electric water pot in the room for coffee/tea making. No elevator, so luggage must be lugged up several flights of stairs. Convenient location, only 2 blocks from Paddington Station
Great location in central London- close to Paddington tube without hearing the noise from it at all. The breakfast was basic but alright. The room was clean, nicely presented and big enough for all of us to be in without tripping over each other. The reception desk was open 24 hours a day, which was great for spending a night out in London. The only minor point was that we were woken by the sounds of the people upstairs on the wooden floor boards. But apart from that, it was a really enjoyable experience and we would definately stay again.
Very good location, good room, clean, good beds, very friendly reception, happy to keep our luggage after check out. Breakfast thin enough, otherwise highly recommended
No hot water for 2 days as their boiler had broken down. They admittedly did reimburse £30 for the inconvenience of having to use the shower at the hotel next door. Mediocre breakfast, which needed eating by 9.30. Beds weren't made each day. Room standard not bad. Excellent location right near Paddington and Hyde Park
