Old Friend Hotel Reviews page 4
Based on 50 Hotel ReviewsThe room was tidy and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful at Old Friend Hotel
Very comfortable and good value for money, also very central. Good transport within minutes. Only downside I was right at the top of the building about 4 flights of stairs. I am visually impaired so this was not ideal so if anyone has a disability ensure you get ground floor otherwise can't fault accommodation or service
Staff polite enough, rooms clean, overall left to your own devices and allowed to get on with it. Down side, rooms so small, fan didn't work in the room, and the court yard to relax and have a coffee looked like Beirut!!! Strange thing is, if in London for a gig again and on a budget would probably book Old Friend Hotel again
Only booked the week before going and got a reasonable price through TravelStay. Basic room but clean. You make your own breakfast in a small kitchen so may be an issue if everyone is there at once (seats 8 but not comfortably). No frills but at the price I paid I am happy to use Old Friend Hotel again
When we arrived to Old Friend Hotel it was clean, staff was friendly, and a really nice hotel for the price. Literally a five minute walk from Bethnal Green Station and close to Brick Lane and Shoreditch area. We only booked for two nights but ended up staying for three because we liked it there so much and the staff was really helpful And let us stay for a reasonable price! Highly recommended. I would come again when visiting London
I had a lovely stay. However, it would be good if it were possible for breakfast to start at 7.30 am (instead of 8am) as some start work at 9am far away from the hotel
I had a wonderful time in this friendly and cosy hotel in London. It was very clean, the furniture was new and modern and the hotel staff are nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Old Friend Hotel and will certainly stay with them the next time I visit London
Admittedly the name of the hotel being on a piece of paper on the door rang some major alarm bells in my head (and I should've told them). But actually the room was comfortably furnished, equipped with radiator and fan as well as TV etc. Also a help yourself breakfast and some social sitting areas made it a fair if eclectic deal for a good price. The New Look Barber Shop next door is definitely worth a visit, haircut and head massage. For the price paid, it was brilliant.
Not the worst place you could stay. Good price, and close enough to Central London. Could walk to Brick Lane, for example. Single rooms are impressively tiny, but you get a fridge to use, so that's handy. Several shared bathrooms around. I didn't have to queue at any point and they were kept clean. I've found places I like better near Kings Cross, so would probably not stay here again. But if you're after Bethnal Green or East London areas, it's worth considering.
Wouldn't recommend. There was a leak in the bathroom above my room. It was leaking through the ceiling when I came back from being out. Late at night lock on door didn't work. Strange place, the park plaza hotel anc city view seem better
