Majestic Hotel London Reviews page 3
Based on 71 Hotel ReviewsOn the plus side, the rooms were clean, the beds comfortable and the reception staff helpful. On the minus side, the hotel is in desperate need of a coat of paint and new carpets, and breakfast is basic. However, it's a fair price and I would recommend it for anyone looking for a cheap but clean hotel within walking distance of the Natural History museum, V & A and Harrods.
Hotel needs decorating outside and in. The bedroom furniture was filthy, we had to wipe it all down, especially the bathroom. Reception staff were friendly enough but breakfast kitchen staff were unhelpful. We were entitled to a full English breakfast but on asking were told that we had come down too late and they couldn't do it. This was 20 minutes before the restaurant was due to stop serving the last breakfast. Our floor in the hotel was also full of students making a noise. Not a very enjoyable stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel in London. The room was clean and good sized. The bathroom a bit old but fine given the London standards. I would say very good ratio of quality-price. The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Earls Court Tube Station and very close to restaurants and pubs. I will definitely go back
They gave us a warm welcome. The English breakfast is typical. We are happy about our stay
It is what I expected, old worn furnishings but fresh sheets, warm showers, friendly staff, basic and budget. Safe area, close to tube, a place to sleep
Location is ideal for doing the tourist trail and shopping. Majestic Hotel's public areas are generally quite shabby, but the room was clean and tidy, bed linen was clean and fresh, bathroom was small but clean and everything worked. Room was properly serviced every day and hotel was quiet at night (apart from the traffic). Breakfast was simple: rolls, croisants, cereals and coffee, tea or juice. The cooked option was much better on some days than others. All in all for a budget hotel it was very acceptable and I would have no hesitation in staying again on occasions when I simply need a bed for the night
Fair value for money. Close to tube station, very basic but clean
The hotel was easy to find and within good walking distance of gloucester road or Earls Court Tube Station. Everything was relatively clean and it was a comfortable stay. Good price for room including breakfast. Definitely worth it for a short stay
A high rating (given what one could expect from a budget London hotel). Not so far from the tube, clean room and good sized with all indicated facilities (mine even had a spiral staircase with a mezzanine level!). I considered it very good for the not so far off budget price, and would happily book again
The hotel has seen better days. The carpet was a bit worn out in places. The girl on reception was friendly. We thought the breakfast was good with a wide selection for everybody. For the money we paid we were satisfied. On top of that, it was the location we took into account with our choice
