Hyde Park Whiteleaf Hotel Reviews page 5
Based on 59 Hotel ReviewsI have stayed in better and cleaner hostels than this. Room was fine - if very basic - but the shower was truly disgusting and the toilet blocked for the 2 days I was there with no repair. Would not reccommend this place at all
Greeted with friendly reception on arrival, Our room was clean and tidy every day of our stay. Indian restaurant doubles as breakfast room, plenty to eat for breakfast. A little noisy on the first night due to over-enthusiastic young people, but hey I was on holiday and have no complaints. An all round pleasant stay in this budget hotel
The hotel is very well located and the people are very friendly. Breakfast is okay. But everything is dirty and needs maintenance. When I arrived they gave me a room with dirty sheets and told me that they were getting the sheets from the laundry the following day. They gave me another room, but only because I insisted
Value for money and in a very strategic place. Has free breakfast too and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is there was no lift, so if you have heavy baggage and your room is on the 3rd floor that would be very tiring.
We stayed in a 2 single beds room. Carry your own linen and towels; sometimes they change your towels, but not every day. There was hot water, but the problem was that sometimes there was only hot water - impossible to shower. We couldn't charge anything because there was no electricity until receptionist helped us 2 days later. There's no elevator so keep that in mind when booking. Stairs are narrow, so it was hard for us to climb to the 3rd floor with our bags. Breakfast is poor, basic. All in all, stuff was very nice, room was clean and quiet, but small and with suspicious, dirty blankets which we didn't use. Location is definitely the most important advantage!
The location was perfect near two tube lines. The room was small but clean and OK. The breakfast was awful, nothing but toast and jam. No real buffet as stated on the website. You had to wait a long time to get anything as the breakfast room was too small and over-crowded. The staff was OK and friendly, particularly one guy at reception
Great location! However we had no clean towels or bed linen. We were also expecting a kettle, hairdryer, and trouser press. None of these items were included in our room. The assistant behind the desk would not give us a refund for our last night which we did not stay through no fault of our own!
Nice people. Breakfast not too bad. Add a little cheese, the possibility of purchasing a boiled egg or scrambled egg. Flowers or green plants in the "pride of India Restaurant" (if you can call it a restaurant?) would make people feel more welcome. Especially the Polish girl working there made up for the discrepancies.
My stay at the Hyde Park Whiteleaf Hotel was adequate for my time in London. Central location but the cleanliness of the hotel was not up to standard. You get what you pay for basically.
The hotel is below the standards that I expected. The room was too basic to stay. The restaurant was poor.
