A little bit old, simple facilities, but great location for visitors to Kings Cross Station, friendly, helpful staff on the desk, and good value for money

Great place, in the centre of London, clean rooms. Just one thing which surprised me, had a shower at 7AM and there was not warm water, just lukewarm up too cold. But the staff was really kind and nice, recommended

Pros - Price: inexpensive. Location: near the centre and close to King's Cross St. Pancras underground and train stations, so every place was easily accessible. Staff: friendly andhelpful, 24h reception, kept our luggage when we checked out. Cons - Room: old and very basic (good only if you plan to roam about all day and get a quiet night's sleep); clogged washbasin, no curtain. Shower: only one shower (quite dirty) for all guests (1st and 2nd floor) as the others were out of order; no mirror. Nice building on the outside but the whole of the inside needs renewal. You get what you pay for and London is an expensive city

Very friendly and polite staff, good location. Very friendly residents compared to other London hostels. Quiet, fairly clean for a hostel. Would book Hostel 170 again and was there for 5 nights

In general, there is not enough showers in this hostel, no free wifi

Hi, the Hostel 170 is excellent! The environment is perfect with such cheap price. However, there is two imperfections during my stay. 1. The sockets for each room is not enough, everyone in a room is fighting for the socket, 2. My card had become invalid suddenly which made me cannot go inside my room after shower, probably its because the IT problem, and it needs sometime to sort it out. Anyway, with such good price, this hostel in London is great

The staff are very friendly people. Nice room but the bunk bed is very noisy. The toilet and bathroom needs more caring. Not very clean at all.

Great price offer for a double (bunk bedded) room. Clean enough and not noisy. Very centrally located and very well communicated just five minutes from King's Cross underground. Must be said that there are neither curtains nor blinds to the room, so if you can't sleep with daylight it may be a problem. In my opinion a good place
