SO Kings Cross Hotel Reviews page 4
Based on 171 Hotel ReviewsGood location, about 5-10 minutes walk to King's Cross Station. Personell wasn't really motivated or or as friendly as you would expect in a hotel or even hostel. The room was small, but we had our own bathroom which was new. The bed was catastrophic, totally uncomfortable and so loud! The whole hostel stank because next to our room was the shared bathroom, the corridor was under water! Nevertheless, I don't want to complain too much because the price was unbeatable
It's a lot of noise not clean to stay there, especially with children. But the place is really close to anything in London, very easy to move around in London from the hostel, because it is just few minutes walk from the hostel to train station,St.Pancras and underground. The staff of the hostel are really nice, kind and helpful. So it is ok to stay there
The neighbourhood is perfect, there are a lot of nice pubs, a few clubs and many places to get a relatively cheap diner. The staff of the hostel was nice and very helpful. The sanitary wasn't always clean and there was often a line in front of the shower. But they're reconstructing the place, adding more sanitary facilities
I had a great time staying in Hostel 170 and it's in a great location. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they are currently undergoing a lot of work so while I was there I woke up to drilling or hammering every morning and they were having a lot of problems with the water. There was no hot water all week, the water pressure was low so it was hit and miss if the taps were going to work or the toilets were going to flush. On the plus side we had our own room with our own key and I felt happy that my belongings were safe and they were very good about us checking in early and leaving our bags in the foyer when we left. If you want a cheap place to stay and are used to basic amenities then this is great choice
Enjoyed staying at Hostel 170 it was cheap and cheerful and was able to accommodate 2 of us without having to share a dorm. Close location to bars and on a good tube, train and bus route. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would recommend for a place just to rest your head when on a budget.
A nice place to stay in, budget-wise. Staff were friendly and helpful. However, as it's a budget-friendly accommodation, I'd advise you to be fully prepared. I had to bring/buy my own toilet slippers and a plastic bag (as there was no dustbin provided in the main toilet and shower-room and in the room itself). Also a towel and all toiletries (even soap was not provided). At night time, it may get a bit noisy due to the wind gushing through the locked windows. This is due to the built, nothing else could be done to prevent it. It may get cold as well and the blanket provided was rather thin. So use your own shirt/blazer as an extra. The floor is not carpeted, and if you're a Muslim, it's better to pray on the bed. For the price, I would not complain. It is at the centre of London. I only wished I had been more prepared
This London hostel has a good quality/price ratio, because price is relatively low and quality is reasonable as there are showers, kitchen, and location is very comfortable for tourists
Good cheap accommodation which was needed for one night only. Toilets and showers were locked and on two floors from room. Overall good value for money and would stay again. Staff pleasant and helpful too
Great for a short stay in london which is all I was looking for
Accommodation of modest quality, rooms could be cleaner, bathrooms OK, poorly equipped kitchen, no free WiFi. Hostel is very quiet, good location, staff is kind and helpful
