Stanley House Hotel Reviews page 6
Based on 86 Hotel ReviewsExcellent hotel, clean and tidy, good en suite facilities, the sink is a little small (minor detail). Plenty of storage space and our room had a balcony which was room 6. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, however there is a machine in Reception. Breakfast was English with fruit juice, Bacon, eggs, beans. The usual tea, coffee and toast with a selection of condiments. The location is excellent, 10 mins walk from Victoria coach and train station. This is the 2nd time I have stayed here and would recommend this hotel and the price was very good
The room was basic and clean. Shower was tiny very claustrophobic. Although great location
Not impressed shower door did not open fully. Ensuite you could not even swing a kitten let alone a cat. Room very hot no fan or a/c
Bedroom small but bed comfy and clean. Bathroom cramped but new and clean. No tea/coffee but machine in reception. Breakfast in cramped room. Waitresses struggle to understand but were helpful. Toaster broke and food basic. Noisy one night with youngsters coming back from pub at 3am. Chap on-duty sorted it straight away. Great! For £35 a good cheap opion on the whole if you're spending most of your time out and about. We were
Hotel was basic but could not complain at the price, could do with modernaisation but clean and comfortable. Stones throw from the victoria appollo for wicked; perfect location. Breakfast was just enough, although a little crambed in. Staff friendly
In any other city I would rate this hotel worse, but for London standard it's pretty average. First of all, as others have remarked about this hotel and the reason we chose it was because it's clean. Nothing to complain about there. The staff was polite. The breakfast was surprisingly good. Warm toast and a proper english breakfast. Also a plus that we could borrow adapters, as we had forgotten those at home. That being said, prepare for narrow hallways, worn rugs you can barely drag your roller suitcase over, old doors that are not sound proof, and with broken handles. The shower can barely fit a grown man. We got clean towels every day, but they don't like to hand out toilet paper for some reason
We had a family room, was large and clean. Breakfast was good. Staff were excellent, will go back
This hotel is in a good location if you need to be near Victoria Station. The hotel has very old furniture and the bathroom is too small. It has no elevator and stairs are high. The breakfast is more or less well with prompt attention. The price is high for an old hotel without air conditioning
This hotel was the worst. No elevator. No airconditioning system. Most of all, the room had a very bad smell from the private shower room. TV was so small
We stayed in a family room with grandchildren for one night. The Hotel was well placed near the coach depot. Our room was a bit cramped, but reasonable for budget accommodation. Breakfast was excellent. Would have liked tea and coffee facilities in our room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Allowed us to leave our case in the hotel during the day after checking out. We would stay here again
