Royal Hyde Park Hotel Reviews page 6
The hotel was very hard to find - I walked up and down Queensway twice before giving up and ringing for directions. Perhaps it would be a good idea to tell people it's right next to Bella Italia on the right hand side (if coming from Queensway tube station), or, like me, they'll find it easy to miss. The room was adequate, but it was VERY noisy outside and I had to sleep with ear-plugs. One of the bedside drawers had a sticky deposit of something trickling down inside, which wasn't pleasant. The breakfast was basic but adequate. I would stay again because it was a very good rate for a London hotel.
Hotel in great location, good choice of restaurants and next to tube station. Hotel/room was very shabby, room looked onto air conditioning units and was noisy and smelly unable to open window. Shower was great loads of hot water. Wouldn't use hotel again.
I booked the hotel last minute as I could not get back to where I stayed in London due to the snow. The hotel was adequate and good value for money at 32.50 incl booking fee. It was cleaner than most Bayswater hotels but could have been better, the bed was new and very clean with clean linen and towels, staff OK could have been a little more friendly.
Extraordinary! I felt great staying in your hotel. Warm, friendly staff, great service, nice room... The best! Thank you. I will recommend it to all my friends and hope to be back soon.
Although the room was quite small, it was clean and renovated. The bathroom was very small but clean. People in the service were very friendly. Metro is just a few metres from the hotel and the neighbourhood has many restaurants. It is a good option for cheap accommodation especially for young people.
If you are staying in London like me just for couple of days then it's probably the best choice for this price. It's a very good location, just opposite to the Bayswater station and a walking distance to Paddington station. Staff friendly. Room/bathroom nice and clean with the minimum you need but that's it (to my surprise there was broadband, TV, hairdryer included). The breakfast was more than I expected for this hotel (toast with either orange or other jam or cheese or cereals or fresh croissants, two types of juice, coffee or tea, whatever). I had a problem with unlocking the door but otherwise after a few trials I realised that the door was immediately locked after I opened it (I think it was for safety reasons). This is a decent hotel, I would recommend for a short trip, or restricted funds (but it is still a good value).
This is a gem of a hotel if you're looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful. We found it clean and presentable, and in a great location, just seconds from the tube station and on Queensway where there are plenty of restaurants to keep you amused! The staff were all courteous and polite. We will definitely be staying there again.
Nice hotel, the only problem was the shower cubicle was far too small, I struggled to get in.
Quite acceptable. The rooms are small but clean and warm and the staff are helpful. I didn't like the first room that was offered to me, but I was able to move to another one with a newly renovated bathroom and a very comfortable bed. I liked the location although it was a bit noisy.
Hotel is quite clean and in a central location - but rooms are very noisy with intense sounds and lights from Queensway high street below
