Norfolk House Hotel is a fantastic place to stay for the price. The location of this hotel has made it ideal for our visits to the UK. It is located only 15 minutes walk from 2 major train stations, and 5 minutes by bus from a direct line to Gatwick Airport. Never mind the decoration of the hotel, it is clean and orderly. It is located ideally for shopping as it is 10 minutes walk from High Street, getting one's hair done and is within proximity of a million decent eating places including KFC and McDonalds, both 2 minutes from hotel. We return every year. Highly recommended cheap 3 Star hotel

All looks good until you reach the bedrooms. We got an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke so complained and changed room to find exactly the same. Punch holes in the bathroom door and toilets didn't flush properly. We stayed 2 nights and didn't get a top up of teabags in the room. However easy access into London and on site parking, friendly caretakers but not reception staff

The hotel rooms are ridiculously small, but otherwise the hotel was ok

The hotel room was very clean and well presented. The only downfalls were that you could clearly hear the neighbours next to you (the walls were very thin) and that there is no lift in the whole of the building. Apart from that, a very enjoyable stay for the money paid

Norfolk House Hotel was really nice with very good price, but the staff were not that welcoming

Nice Stay! It was very good compared to its cheap cost. Rooms were cleaned every day and even if it is a bit "old-looking" (I can't find a better description), is Ok and the staff was really helpful

The hotel was good enough for the money we paid. The location was good for visiting central London, the rail stations in Croydon have good links to central London and airports. We had only one problem with some noisy neighbours but we got another better room

Great value and very well equipped room for a 2 Star. Close to transport links. Only small quibble, some plugs in room did not work

Very friendly, obliging staff. Room very basic and in need of updating but bedding was clean, shower worked and breakfast was adequate. Not exactly a quiet spot, on the main road, but I was at the back and heard no traffic

Hmm, a just about ok hotel but not one I would rush to re-visit. I thought the receptionist could have been more welcoming and informative on arrival. My room necessitated a long walk from one side of the hotel to the other. When I got inside the décor and facilities were in need of updating. Breakfast ordering was utter confusion no direction from the staff. I had to initiate it myself. When it arrived (supposedly full English), it couldn't have been more sparse and cold.
