Based on 100 Hotel ReviewsI enjoyed my stay at Sheldon Hostel. The room was cosy and comfortable
Nice friendly staff and comfortable rooms at Shelton Hostel
A very pleasant stay at Shelton Hostel, good value for money
It was nice stay. Breakfast was good. Room was also good. Will make more bookings in future.
This place was not clean and even part of the furniture in the room as the wardrobe..missing. The carpet floor was durty and full of stains. Hardly able to close the door. Many noices everywhere...wont recommend this place
Nice and clean room at London Shelton Hotel, good service and breakfast. It is close to public transport and at affordable price
It was okay, not good though the beds were like stones and floors in my room where disgusting. We also asked for some forks so we could eat are potnoddles. We asks about 5 times and each time they said they will 'bring them up in minute'
The Shelton hotel is the worst hotel I have ever been to! It was dirty! The carpets had dirty & muddy stains on it! I couldn't get a shower in the bathroom coz it was that dirty, the sink was vile & they was broken tiles in it! The bed sheets & pillows were ok but the duvet looked about 100 years old!the signs were just paper that had been wrote on un biro (one if them had a spelling mistake on it)! The dinning room had damp patches on the wall & the paint was all scuffed & coming off the floor tiles! The cutlery was filthy too!
Overall a bad experience. The hotel is run down and the room I was in had a smell of cigarettes. The bed was rock hard, the bathroom window had no curtains or properly frosted glass so all could see in and the shower was ice cold and mouldy. Certainly not worth the £50 I paid for one night. Would not recommend.
The location was exactly where it said it was, opposite Harringay Station. Reception staff weren't overly polite but one did help with directions for where I needed to be that evening. The room was small, as expected but storage space was good (not that I needed it). My only major qualm would be that the windows don't appear to be double glazed and so, unless you can sleep like a rock, there is a lot of noise disruption from outside which meant it was a real struggle to get to sleep. I would probably book London Shelton Hotel again, but for the price, I think it is a bit steep
