Hotel Olympia Reviews page 3
Based on 40 Hotel ReviewsLittle bit to much money for that kind of hotel. Bathroom remodeling no air. Pretty clean nice stuff. My second time over there. Minute from Earls Court tube. If you need just a stay over night take it
Great location. Very convenient.
I was shocked when I first got to the Hotel Olympia and saw the building. It looks like it needs knocking down. The reception area was nice and the receptionist was very nice to us. Our room was very small, comprised of a double bed, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The drawers and wardrobe were pointless as the bed covered them and so they cannot be used. The room looked like it could use a good clean down, a good hoover and the damp wall sorting out. The bed looked nice until I turned down the duvet and there was what looked like chewing gum all over it. They must have just turned the duvet instead of changing the cover. The toilet flush was hanging off and the flush just decided to flush a little all night. I've never stayed anywhere that offer a kettle with the flimsiest plastic cups to make your hot drink in. On the plus side, the bed was quite comfortable and I had brought a blanket with me, which I wrapped myself in as the bedding scared me. In the end, I had quite a good night's sleep. The location was brilliant and, to be fair, was probably the only reason I booked this hotel. I very much doubt I will be booking this hotel again unless the cleaners do their job a heck of a lot better and actually clean the place. And the building needs a make over, BIG TIME.
The Hotel Olympia was simple and comfortable
As I stay in London on a regular basis for weekly business trips, I found my stay at Olympia great value compared to most 2 stars I've stayed at. My double room was clean with a good size en-suite, a comfortable bed (but could do with decent pillows - not unique to this establishment). I would recommend it to those on a business budget not expecting or requiring any frills. Earls Court is a good location for restaurants, catering to most tastes and there are a couple of decent pubs on the High Street. It's also very handy for the tube. The staff were fine but the Ritz this isn't, so moaners, demanding families with noisy children please take note and book elsewhere. Then, hopefully, I can still enjoy future bookings there in peace.
All things are fine at the Hotel Olympia and the beds are comfortable, but I expected there to be shampoo and conditioner also.
You get what you pay for and the money got me somewhere to sleep and wash
Very nice London hotel for the price paid. The rooms were clean and big enough to move around in, which you don't always get with a 2 star hotel. Also, the hotel is only about a five minute walk from the tube station, so it was easily accessible from anywhere in London. The staff were very nice, and were quite helpful with anything we wanted, and reception was open all night. Don't expect it to be luxurious, and the hotel itself doesn't look so great from the outside. The reception area leaves a fairly bad first impression, but the rooms were quite nice and comfortable
Hotel Olympia is another good place in Chelsea. You may be given a twin bedroom and you will discover it is downstairs in some sort of a basement but it is not bad at all. They provide free wi-fi, it is small but comfortable and cheap. I will add that the commercial neighbourhood is excellent: Chinese, Thai and Philippino restaurants in case you are fed up with fish and chips
First room offered, the bed was not made up and no soap or towels. However was immediately given a much better one. The room was small but functional and a very nice ensuite with a powerful shower. The TV didn't work. But I wasn't bothered enough to complain as to dog tired. The receptionist was helpful. And I was generally happy with my stay. For the money, Hotel Olympia is good value, in a nice location. Although a little noise
