Goldsmiths House Reviews page 5
Based on 233 Hotel ReviewsIncredibly convenient for what I was doing in London and a reasonable price, so I'm planning to book Goldsmiths House again. The room was uncomfortably hot despite me turning off the radiator and there seemed to be no crockery available (bowl, mug) so I had no choice but to go out for breakfast.
Efficient service, clean and tidy facilities. The room included a wash basin, desk and plenty of storage drawers.
This is a nice place and in a lovely location and there is lots of good working things in it but I feel that the price is only because of it is just women. Extra with the tariff is prices for using many of their amenities so that I think is not very good. It is a good and clean hotel but it is very simple and you must cook for yourself. I like this cooking so I don’t mind but one more it is not reflected in price. I definitely feel very safe and everyone there is very lovely. If it was cheaper I will stay again
First of all thank you very much. I had a really nice time at Goldsmiths House. In my opinion Goldsmiths House has an amazing concept. The rooms are clean and tidy, there is everything you need in the kitchen and the staff were really helpful. I met a lot of nice people there. But there are things that should be improved, too. The most annoying thing are the prices for the washing maschine and the dryer. I had to buy a laundry card for 5gbp which was charged with 3gbp. Using the washing machine cost 3.40gbp and using the dryer 1.20gbp. The minimum charge for the laundry card is 5gbp. That absolutely makes no sense to me. Even if you are not a short time visitor, as I was, it is really annoying that you are not able to charge your card with coins. That you always will lose some money because of that. Of course, laundry cards could be given to other guys but still it makes no sense. Again, the cleaning ladies did an amazing job but it would be helpful if they leave a note after they locked things. I had cleaned my dishes, put them besides the sink (so that it could dry) and forgot to remove them in time. When the kitchens were cleaned all my stuff was gone and I was really concerned about it
Location of Goldsmiths House is very good and quiet. We have to share toilets and shower, although we are able to cook and eat in a big dining room
The location of Goldsmiths House is very central and close to mainline and underground stations. The accommodation, although very basic, is perfectly adequate. The bed was comfortable, water hot, room quiet and clean and actually provided everything I needed for a very reasonable price. I would definitely stay there again and be happy to recommend it to others. The only thing I struggled with was the door lock, but once someone down the corridor explained how it worked then I managed it ok. Thanks for two good nights stay
The room was small but clean, facing the garden, very nice for a weekly stay. The housekeepers were very friendly and always prepared to help with any information and even a hairdryer. The main morning receptionist, however, had eyes glued on the computer screen with the impression you were disturbing her if you asked a question. There were maintenance works going on in the building so there was no internet and no wi-fi. The dining room and kitchen could be a bit cleaner, even though they were cleaned by the staff daily. Everyone had to provide her own dishcloths or washing liquids and as some (of us on a short stay) didn't have them, stains and crumbles were inevitable. Nevertheless overall impression of Goldsmiths House was good
Golsmiths House was a great place to stay, wonderful staff and great location
Goldsmiths House was in a perfect location for me. The room and all facilities were very clean and for the price I was really pleased. I would recommend Goldsmiths House to any one on a budget. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would give it a 5 /5 but a few things stopped me - no hangers for my clothes and my key did not work on the last day there - but it was sorted quickly
