Furnival House Reviews page 2
Based on 76 Hotel ReviewsThe accommodation is basic but ideal for a short stay of a few nights. The location is absolutely perfect for getting around London
A standard student room: bed, wardrobe, wash basin with hot and cold water. Toilets and showers nearby on landing. Good hot water pressure in shower. Staff very pleasant. Furnival is a nice building, attractively situated in a leafy side road in Highgate. It is a fair uphill walk from Archway tube station. There do not seem to be any handy little late-opening shops in the area, which is a slight disadvantage. It's a quiet street though, which is good. As halls-of-residence vacation accommodations go, this is of standard quality, but in a pleasant area and very competitively priced. Remember though, that it is a student study bedroom, not a hotel room. As an inexpensive base from which to spend time exploring London, it can certainly be recommended, at the fantastic price
It is very nice location. The room is clean. Everything is O.k. Good cost performance
Friendly staff, good room, great environment
I appreciated the Furnival House location and the service staff kindness. I am sure I came back again
I have to say that I am so disappointed with my 2nd stay at Furnival House. Night 1 - Music in opposite room till 2pm with doors banging as people came and gone. Night 2 - Had to complain to go down the stairs 3 times to Security at Midnight 24.00, 00.20 and 00.40 for a party that was underway in the Kitchen opposite my room. Night 4 - Had to ring down to Security at Midnight for a party that was in a Kitchen down the corridor from my room. This is a sharp contrast with my first stay which was perfect. I would have liked to have booked some additional weeks here but couldn't function in work on the amount of sleep I was able to grab on my recent visit
Although basic accommodation, nice clean kitchen with the facilities to cook a meal if required. Clean shared bathrooms but springy beds leave a lot to be desired
Very convenient and nice place to stay with a green vision
Very good value. Basic but very good for young people. Walk downhill to underground station of about 10 minutes and uphill walk back but buses both ways. Easy access to centre of London. Shops nearby for easy self catering. Would stay there again
I stayed in Furnival House for a week and had no expectations. I was surprised to find a homely and friendly place for little money. Facilities are good, clean kitchen and bathrooms/showers, comfortable rooms with lots of space for my stuff and even a big writing desk. Try to find that in hotels in the city. The staff at Furnival was always very friendly and helpful and gave you the feeling of being home away from home. Great opportunity to meet nice and interesting people, younger and older from different countries. I can highly recommend Furnival House and I will be back a.s.a.p Kind regards and thanks
