Durham Castle Reviews page 4
Based on 496 Hotel ReviewsWe had the most amazing stay at Durham Castle and couldn't fault the service, cleanliness or facilities. The castle was everything we expected, and with the advantage of having all the Durham bars and restaurants two minutes walk away. We will return as soon as we can
Durham Caslte is in a great location, very helpful staff. Breakfast was great and in a beautiful hall. The price was incredible given all of the above. One word of warning though, if you do not like climbing stairs this is probably not the best place to stay
Great place to stay in Durham, beautiful view with medieval surroundings. Durham Castle is well recommended
Very enjoyable stay at Durham Castle, good price, the staff were very helpful, castle tour included and the breakfast in the Great Hall a good start to the day
We were very well looked after from the moment we arrived at Durham Castle. Very easy check in and room was as per photos. Fluffy towels and comfortable beds and heard not a sound all night. We were made to feel special in a special place. View from our window let down a perfect stay as there was debris from broken bottles and chairs, a result of student activity I presume
Wonderful location and lovely staff at Durham Castle. Excellent breakfast in the spectacular Great Hall. There were 104 stairs to my room (no lift), but the booking information does give 'warning' of this, and I did become accustomed to this
Wonderful stay at Durham Castle! Comfortable and clean. Great location
Was very pleased with the accommodation at Durham Castle. I arrived late evening and was provided with all necessary information by the night porter, who directed me to my room. Room was basic but very clean and warm, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Good value accommodation in a beautiful building. Who would want to stay in a soul-less motel when it's possible to stay in a castle for a similar or lesser cost? All the staff I met were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. My only regret was not having time to take the guided tour
A true Harry Potter experience at Durham Castle. Cute rooms, new and clean showers and toilets. Kind staff. The only downside is breakfast - continental selection could be much better (cheese spreads, Nutella, and buns are lacking). And scrambled eggs and bacon are too dry, as is white bread
Excellent stay at Durham Castle, single room was excellent value and full Northumbrian breakfast in the Great Hall was a bonus
