Carr-Saunders Hall Reviews page 5
Based on 120 Hotel ReviewsWow! Did wonder what this accommodation would be like as it was very, very reasonably priced but I shouldn't have worried. Room is basic but large and clean (we had a twin room), showers and toilets very clean and tidy. Breakfast, we decided to have a lie in on the 1st morning - epic fail! The breakfast was really nice and filling. I would thoroughly recommend this London accommodation to anyone. Centrally located, near to tube and main station, clean, warm, bright, nice staff! What more could you ask for?
Initial impression somewhat barrack-like, due to the painted but unplastered brick corridor walls. Didn't notice them after 24 hours! Everything very clean, and everything that should have worked worked except the free internet access in the lounge - incompatible with some devices, including mine. Bedding not adequate for two at this season - I was glad to use the duvets from both beds in my room. Breakfast excellent - nice view of the Post Office Tower
Excellent budget place to stay when in London. The neighbourhood is very quiet, the room essential but clean, the reception impeccable and the breakfast large and delicious
I have stayed in Carr-Saunders Hall and other LSE properties many times over the years. The rooms are basic but functional with a sink and the shared bathrooms are never busy. The rooms can sometimes be very warm and the pillows are usually very thin, but that's all to personal taste. They offer great value for money in brilliant locations, although the rooms are not luxurious. I don't go to London to see the inside of a hotel room and just use it for a place to sleep. The staff (students of LSE) are all brilliant, super friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, LSE are great, good value, friendly, and great locations
Carr-Saunders Hall is in general a very convenient residence, seen that it is very centrally located and the common facilities are in a good and appealing shape. Shared bathrooms were always adequately clean. Only major negative point was the room itself, which was a little dirty and had a fairly disgusting sink.
Comfortable London accommodation and good, central location
Carr-Saunders Hall is basic, but with the very reasonable price, you know what you're getting. It's clean, comfortable and you get a great view of the BT tower
Staying for nearly two weeks. Bathroom (shower and toilet) are very new and clean. Kitchen also looks new, microwave, toastor and fridges are nice, but the kettle seems to be cheap. There is a little space to eat in the kitchen, but only for two or three people. Breakfast is satisfactory, there is not much difference in the variance though. You can eat as toast as much as you want. They change the towel almost everyday if you want, but once in five days for the linen. Bedmaking is sometimes neatly, sometimes not, but kept very clean everyday. The receptionist depends. Almost always very kind but with one exception (somehow he was trying to decline our request as often as possible). All in all unbeatable for this price, approx. 30 pounds for two persons per night.
Very pleasant stay, super clean, friendly staff, always happy!
The room was very basic but lovely bed, very warm radiator and clean. Mine was updated to ensuite free. The continental breakfast was very lovely. The hotel is close to the tube station, very convenient of travelling. Definitely coma back again and highly recommended
