Camden Lock Hotel Reviews page 5
Based on 63 Hotel ReviewsI stayed here while attending a gig in camden, I was attracted to this hotel purely because of the price of. The location was also ideal being situated on the other side of the road from Chalk Farm Tube Station, and on the main road going into Camden town itself. The hotel room itself was pretty basic, but it had a clean room with a bed and decent shower, thats all I wanted. Would recommend Camden Lock Hotel to others
Very pleased with my first stay at Camden Lock. Excellent value for money, great location and friendly service from staff. I would definitely stay at Camden Lock Hotel again and I would also recommend the hotel to others
The Camden Lock Hotel is great for visting Camden, the tube & markets are very close! Clean rooms, and the hotel staff were very helpful. It was great value for london. Also great for the Jazz Café!
Very impressed with quality of hotel considering price and location. Right opposite the Roundhouse and the tube station in the nice end of Camden with lots of good restaurants and pubs. Handy for the shops and really quiet at night time too. Very good value for money
Very good value, well-run hotel, clean rooms. Location is quite noisy, however, overall good for price and location
The room was basic and clean. The bed was comfortable and space within the room was adequate. Staff were really friendly and helpful, I'd definitely stay here again
Excellent location from tube, friendly and helpful receptionist (lady) Clean room and good breakfast
Well, what do you expect for 69 quid a night. The breakfast was okay, but a) room was noisy and poorly soundproofed, 2) shower issued a trickle only of water, 3) I asked to be woken up at 5 and ended up waking the nightwatchman. No Internet, no WLAN especially, which should be everywhere these days. Plus sides: location great, helpful staff
This hotel was GREAT for our stay!! I definitely recommend it. The location really couldn't be better- across from the Chalk Farm tube station, across from Enterprise, a totally fabulous pub, complete with fire place and delicious food, down the street from bars, shopping, Camden Market etc. It is near the Northern line which was super convenient to get around from. We went out every night around Shoreditch and took a cab home- about GBP 10-15. The room itself was very basic- we are talking European budget hotel- two twin beds, private bathroom, a small hood to hang your clothing and a small dresser. All which were very clean. They also came in to tidy up midday. The heater worked, the hot water worked but we did have to time our showers either really early or before we went out for the night as the water was luke warm during "peak" shower times. The walls are thin but honestly this didn't bother us in the least- we just slept right through (we also live in NYC so maybe used to it!). My only one complaint is that the doors don't lock from the inside, meaning there is no bolt. I have had a break in in my home so now I am paranoid everywhere I go. I got over it and it wouldn't stop me from staying here again. A really great place to stay!! I believe the total cost was about $ 500 USD for the whole week!
I found the Hotel very comfortable and very close to Camden Town, the staff where friendly and the room was good value for what we paid. I would stay here again
