Bankside House Reviews page 3
Based on 114 Hotel Reviewsbankside House has an excellent location, especially to Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe theatre. The rolls at breakfast very yummy
Bankside House was first class
We were in Room 301 at Bankside House, the shower controls were back to front and we nearly scalded ourselves, other than that it was good for the price we paid and the breakfast was excellent
Have stayed here before. For the money, the location is brilliant but little things do disappoint: there were no towels in the room or shower gel when we arrived. Went back downstairs to reception because no-one was answering the phone. Very pleasant gentleman on reception gave me double portions of shampoo and shower gel, and said housekeeping would supply towels. Went out for a walk. On return towels had appeared but housekeeping had decided our supplies of soap/shampoo were too generous and had removed half! The following morning went to shower - 8:45am on a Sunday morning. Hot water was tepid at best, but by the time I had washed my hair was stone cold. Breakfast is good quality and big choice, but the queue! Would say standards are slipping since my last visit
Really enjoyed my stay at Bankside House as staff friendly and welcoming. Rooms clean and comfortable and ideally located by the Thames (fab value for money) Quality breakfast with plenty of choice!! Looking forward to another stay hopefully next year
Always a pleasure to stay at Bankside House anyway - great location. On this occasion though I was fortunate enough to be upgraded to the top floor flat which was immaculate. Excellent facilities and view. A very pleasurable overnight stay and superb value. Well done
Bankside House is in a good location for Southwark Underground Station. Very efficient and freindly reception. Basic room but clean and secure. Very good breakfast
Bankside House provided exactly what I expected of student accommodation. Everything that was required was provided including a great breakfast. It would have been nice if the room had a full length mirror in it (even on the inside of the wardrobe door). It would also have been nice if there was some WiFi access, if not in the rooms at least in one of the communal rooms
I would recommend a stay at Bankside House. For London the rate was good so I was surprised by the standard of the room and breakfast. I was upgraded for no extra cost which was a bonus
Good place to stay on a low budget. Very friendly and helpful staff. I got a private room with a shared bath which wasn't an issue at all. Good breakfast and within walking distance of the Tube. The current construction was kind of loud but that's only a nit pick. Good place for travelling teen or backpacker looking for a safe place to sleep
