If you're coming from Finsbury Park tube station, walk down Blackstock Road and the hostel is about 200 metres along the road on the left. From Arsenal tube station, start on Gillespie Road and you'll reach Blackstock Road. Turn left and Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel is about 50 metres along the road on the right.

Good : Staff at Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel are really kind. Easy access to and from station. Bad: Bathroom is a little bit dirty and we can use only one shower in women's bathroom
The bathrooms are clean, but the female only shower room was bad as there was only one shower working. The bedroom was really bad as it was really dirty, messy and small.
The foyer area and toilets are very nice and clean. Once you go upstairs to the rooms and shared bathrooms, you see it is completely different. The showers were disgusting and seemed to have never been cleaned. The rooms are cramped, stuffy and smelly. It was cheap to stay here, but you get what you pay for.
Arsenal Tavern Backpackers Hostel ticks lots of boxes - in a very nice area, huge chill-out area, plenty of space, tables and chairs, microwave and kettle with tea and coffee and even milk supplied. Staff very friendly and helpful. Also the guests at the time of my stay were lovely - girls dorm a very nice place to be socially. Female showers in an absolute state, one no cold water, one no hot water, all need a jolly good scrub
