Extremely good location, close to Earls Court tube station. Very quiet and peaceful street. Room was small, but contained all we needed including flat screen TV and clean bathroom. Friendly personnel and effective cleaning of the room. The only setback was the unexpected deposit fee of 250 pounds on our credit card that would be released 40 hours after our departure from the hotel. This information was not given to us when we booked

Not bad, fairly cheap and good location, small rooms, but what do you expect in London. Bed had some boards missing and shower head was leaking, but these were immediately fixed. Also the drains/pipes smelled a bit when water ran through them, but it was only a minor inconvenience. Good, friendly informative staff and great location. We stayed with a small child, so a bit noisy, but overall no issues with this place. If you want a good location (300m to Earls Court Station), for a cheap price, with good amenities, then this place ticks those boxes

Stayed twice at York House with my 16 year old son during our vacation in June/July 2010. Great neighborhood and a great location close to Earl's Court tube station. The first room was on the upper floor and had a reasonable kitchenette. The second stay was on the ground floor and the kitchen was about the size of very small closet. Be aware that you will be charged excessively for everything. There was a 5% extra charge for using a credit card to pay for the room. This is gratuitous and shameful for any self-respecting hotel. They do not indicate this charge on their web advert. Also, internet fees are 4 times what they are on Earl's Court at an internet cafe. Charge for leaving luggage for the day was 10 pounds per piece - more than what you pay for leaving bags at King's Cross station. The "kitchen's" are very sparsely stocked. If I hadn't brought my own cooking implements I wouldn't have been able to cook. Basically the kitchen is a glorified microwave oven meant for students looking to reheat ready meals, so be forewarned. Service was okay and the rooms were a bit shabby but otherwise clean. Not a bad price for central London

Stayed at York House for three nights, the room was very small, the bed uncomfortable and among other things the bathroom door was broken, the shower cubicle did not shut and the cleaner left our door open all day whilst we were out. I don't normally write reviews but I felt I had to on this apartment as the 'owner' did show us an alternative room to go to instead but once he had shown us around he then informed us that it would cost an extra 60 pounds a night to be moved. Postive note was the area as very close to Earls Court high street and the tube and the reception staff were very polite. I would only stay here again if I was to ensure that I did not stay in the basement and if I could not find an alternative place to stay

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. It was very close to the underground. The hotel was lovely, in a quiet area. Very clean. Also close to a supermarket. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
