York Hotel is opposite The Exchange shopping mall In Ilford, which is full of restaurants, cafes and shops. If you want to see Central London you should hop on a train from Ilford which will take you straight to Liverpool Street Station in around 15 minutes. You can get a Circle line tube from here that will take you direct to the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey. If you travel in on a Central line tube from Gants Hill you can get to St Paul’s Cathedral or Oxford Street without changing.

- By Train
You should travel via train to Ilford Train Station. This is less than a minute’s walk from York Hotel.
- By Tube
To get to York Hotel on the tube you should travel on the Central line and get off at Gants Hill Tube Station.
- On Foot
When you arrive at Ilford Train Station exit onto Cranbrook Road and turn to your left. Take an immediate left into York Road where you will soon spot York Hotel.
When you arrive at Gants Hill Tube Station you should exit onto Cranbrook Road. Walk almost the entire length of this road and just before you get to Ilford Train Station turn right into York Road where you will find York Hotel.

The York hotel was clean and the room was fine. Breakfast was nice. Only downside was that it was not in Central London. It takes 20 mins to Liverpool Street and 30 mins to get to Oxford Street.
Very simple hotel but quick and easy to get into London. Would stay again.
