Bed mattress was very soft and not comfortable. No soap or towels were provided and there was no milk in the kitchen. I was not forewarned about this and did not think that the room was value for money

As a female travelling to London on my own for the first time, I was quite daunted arriving at Woodville guesthouse but I needn't have worried. James is an incredible person who really makes you feel at home. He went out of his way to provide me with not only tips on getting around London but also many life lessons! My second night he organised a BBQ and cooked heaps of delicious food for the house to enjoy. It is not his job do this but he is kind hearted and wants people to socialise and be comfortable in his home. If you are looking for budget accommodation, in a location that has endless shops and cheap markets then this place is great. Even though I have not been back to London yet, I know James will welcome me back to his house, even if it is just to drop in for a cup of tea

Clean, tidy and very welcoming atmosphere. Well located to the public transportation and away from the crowd (in a quiet residential area). Good value for the money. Furthermore if you like a good chat the owner is a live encyclopedia you'll never get bored chatting with him. This is a guesthouse with a soul.

Woodvile Guesthouse is really nice. This is the best I have ever seen. The manager is great. It felt like my own home

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The house is nice and well kept. It is not far away from the tube station and there is a nice and rather cheap food store within a short walking distance. The owner is very helpful and friendly and he made us feel at home from the start. We also enjoyed talking to other tourists who booked rooms there and the atmosphere was very cosy. Thank you very much for that

For value for money I can't recommend Woodville Guesthouse too highly. It is in a quiet area of London, being in a cul de sac and yet it is only a fairly short walk to the local tube station which takes you directly into central London and is also close to a very good range of shops and local market. The house is clean and tidy and the host extremely friendly and helpful. My husband and I shared a double room, which although small was perfectly adequate for a one night stay. The use of the kitchen made it feel far more like staying with friends than in a guesthouse. I shall certainly consider staying there again when I next stay in London

It is a lovely guest house, max of 7 people, so it is never crowded. The beds are comfy, and you get an extra pillow if you ask. It may sound like it's a little out of town, but it is not. The tube takes no time at all to get into the city, and if you're on a budget, the local food is very cheap. For the price, Woodville Guesthouse cannot be beaten

I really enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse. Once you're there, the location's really great. No noise at night (or at pretty much any time), and the wonderful market (and more stores) are just around the corner. It's a 10-15 minute walk to Walthamstow Central. The house is very clean and well-kept and you can see the manager is very organised, without being someone that's hard to talk to, quite the contrary. I was so bewitched by how friendly, open and talkative he is - made me feel right at home. The little house promises a family-like environment and it keeps that promise, I really enjoyed the company of and talks with everyone I met there. So all in all, I guess I can only say I had a very nice time staying at Woodville Guesthouse. Thank you so much for making that possible - hopefully I'll be able to come again some time
