Ventures Hotel Reviews page 3
Based on 22 Hotel ReviewsA nice hotel, very well located to Edgware station, the main negatives would be the cleanliness of the rooms, the towels and sheets are changed and are clean but the floors in the rooms look to be very rarely hoovered, the shower curtain stunk of damp and the walls could have done with a lick of paint. Looks like they have skimped on routine cleaning staff.
Room was shabby but staff were friendly (especially the breakfast lady). Situated in a lively neighbourhood with good connections to the rest of London. Middle-East shops (many with internet facilities which came in handy in view of travel chaos caused by volcanic ashes). Also plenty of Middle East restaurants and groceries with beautiful fruits. Very relaxed atmosphere
The hotel was just ok for a short stay. The room was neat but the toilet didn't flush well and TV did not work.
The hotel room was very small for a double en-suite room and was a bit shabby. The walls needed repainting and new curtains wouldn’t have gone a miss. The breakfast was better than we expected. I suppose it was ok for the price.
Nice reception area, carpet going upstairs a bit worn out, bedroom adequate, breakfast okay, painters/decorators were upgrading
A good, simple hotel, good value for money
The staff at the Ventures Hotel did their best to make us feel happy there, despite it's shabby kind of appearance in places. But looking past the tatty wall paper, it was a clean and well run hotel, in a brilliant location with a warm bed and great shower, so for what we paid, I'd definately stay again
