Stayed in Talybont North Residence for one nightfor the speedway GP in Cardiff. Very pleasant surroundings, nice campus and the room was very clean and adequate for an overnight stay. I would not hesitate in stopping again for next years GP

On arrival at 8.15pm on a Friday, the whole area was like a ghost town. The 'welcome' was curt, but having got my key, I eventually found the room. The en-suite is a shower/sink/toilet enclosed unit within the room, although functional, not what I expected. The bed was very narrow. Also, the distance from the city centre is much longer than quoted, certainly more than 30 minutes walk.

This was the second time our party had stayed at the residence and so we were familiar with the surroundings this time. The location is very convenient for the city centre. We chose to travel using public transport but could quite easily have walked on a cooler day. The rooms are basic but comfortable and are more than satisfactory if you just need somewhere clean and cheap. The shared kitchen facility is very handy and the staff are friendly. I expect to stay here again in the future

Really, really good, clean facilities. Short taxi ride out of city centre. Would definitely use again.

Accommodation was clean and spacious, en suite was extremely convenient. Would like more lighting around the actual site, would be less scary at night

I enjoyed my stay at Talybont North. All we needed was a nice clean room with a bed to sleep in and some kind of kitchen facility to use for eating and drinking. The kitchen was of a good standard. The room itself was fine with a decent shower and plenty of room to store your belongings..and a desk if you needed to do any studying or plug in your lap top. I would definitely stay here again as it is cheap but convenient and clean.

The directions we had were only if you were traveling by car so we ended up walking about 2 miles out of our way to finally get there, at reception they had trouble finding our booking, then when we were directed to our block, they had not explained that our rooms were contained inside another flat! so we took about 15 minutes to find our rooms. The rooms were very clean and we had toiletries provided and we could use the kitchen if we needed to, which was also very clean. Unfortunatly it was very noisy at night, we did not get much sleep, and there was no hot water in any of our rooms. If you have got a car and some earplugs then its pretty good value for money!

I wasn't expecting much from this accommodation to be honest, having booked it as a last resort for a concert in the city. However, it far surpassed all of my expectations. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, affording a great deal of privacy and comfort to the user. Bathrooms, too, were spacious and very clean. The only niggle I had was that it is not very clearly signposted, which led to a great deal of panic when it took us half an hour to find the reception on the night of arrival. All in all, would definitely use this accommodation again.
