Stratford Hotel London Reviews page 5
Based on 48 Hotel ReviewsA very basic hotel, could be cleaner. The last room I stayed in had a desk and a fridge, this time I had a very small room, no desk, fridge or wardrobe. The hotel was really noisy from late in to the night. Staff are friendly.
I did not have a chance to see much of the hotel. I just came and slept nothing else. The staff were accessible 24 hrs and quite cooperative. Bathroom inside the room was clean. A good hotel.
Complete shed, but friendly staff and all was well, if you want a cheap place in a nasty part of town, your luck is in, we had four lads crammed in a room with two beds
Good value for money, warm, dry and cheap. Continental breakfast is basically toast and tea in a make shift breakfast room, but for the money (32 GBP), what would you expect
I thought the room was very small but functional. I had to change room because a leak from the roof occurred and the staff were very good in moving me. Ensuites are small and basin v diificult to shave from. Bedding clean and towels also. For a cheap stop-over it is fine, but not if you wanted to stay more than a couple of nights
Stratford Lodge London is a really nice place, we didn't expect that much. We were a bit disappointed by the breakfast, but the rooms are nice and clean, and the staff is competent. We enjoyed our stay
I booked 1 double and 1 single bed in a room. But they provided me 2 double and 1 extra bed. We are couple with a small kid. The room was in underground with broken small window. The room was unhygienic and after shower water was not going out. We never lived such kind of room. First night they did not provide any towel
This hotel is OK if your expectations are not too high and if all you want is a place to sleep while you're seeing the sights in London. The bathroom was very tiny and my first impressions were that it was not very clean. The towels were replaced every day. The room was spacious enough and there was plenty of closet space. It was pleasant to have a fridge in the room. The beds were comfortable enough. I would advise others to bring earplugs, otherwise you might hear other guests and the traffic while trying to sleep. The staff was friendly and there was always someone in the reception area.
Rude staff, dirty hotel.
I was vastly disappointed with the low standard of this establishment; the room was damp with plaster peeling from the walls. The two fire/smoke alarms were broken and an old mattress was propped against the only door to this basement room. The microwave in the room should have been PAT tested 3 years ago according to the label. The window which opened to a wall six inches away had a broken handle so could not be secured. The shower needs attention and the toilet seat was not bolted on so kept falling off when used. The continental breakfast was coffee from cheap sachets and a loaf of bread next to a dirty toaster. My party was kept awake until well after midnight with noise from the office above the room. I feel that the whole experience spoiled our stay.
