Queen Mary Budget Rooms Reviews page 5
Based on 129 Hotel ReviewsVery well located. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms
I arrived at 1.30pm Saturday but couldn't check in until 2pm - no big deal but why can't you check in before 2pm. Room was similar to a Travelodge but without the TV & Tea making kit - very clean and had a fridge but it smelt funny so I didn't use it. Good ensuite bathroom and plenty of hot water for bath or shower. However, the toilet seat was not fixed to the toilet bowl. Only real issue was the creaky, squeaky single bed - time to replace it, Queen Mary. So as a cheap place to crash in East London for the weekend you could do a lot worse
Brilliant location but frustratingly it took nearly two hours for us to check in. Receptionist was nice, but quite clearly not up to speed! Never mind, this was compensated for by the 'underpants' in the wardrobe. The bathroom was very clean
Plain and simple. Problem with leaking cistern in bathroom but that was fixed. No simple way to access the Internet for less than GBP 6.00 Very good location beside the canal and the Central Line on the Underground is only 5 minutes walk away and is very efficient. I would recommend it to others
Helpful staff. Room generally clean. The curtains were dirty and dusty, clearly not washed for several years. This is not the fault of the cleaner, who would not be expected to clean curtains, but more to do with the oversight of the state of the rooms. The room was in a quiet area as I requested
We stayed at Queen Mary Budget Rooms for 2 nights in July and wish we'd stayed longer. The twin en suite room and kitchen facilities were great and the staff very helpful. The beds were really comfortable, even though we are 2 arthritic ladies of a certain age. The site was ideally placed to visit the whole of London and we will certainly stay again
I was very much suprised to see the level of hygiene and hospitality at Queens Mary Uni. The room was very clean, toiletries and towels were provided. There was Kithcen utilities avialable for use i.e Kettle, cooker, fridge/freezer.
The room was fine with nice little gift pack of soap etc. The second bed was a put up and not very sturdy. Complimentary tea coffee and helpful reception .Only problem it was very noisy due to students and young visitors. Noise till 5am
The only negative was the absence of a TV in the room. Otherwise, thanks
I enjoyed my stay at Queen Mary Budget Rooms. Everything was very basic (such as no entertainment), but that's what I paid for. I did however have a fridge in the room, there were laundrettes, a cafe etc. and I felt quite safe over there. It was near the tube stations (Mile End and Stepney Green), but there were also many buses available in the area. There was also a 24 hour reception and security available. If you're looking for something simple but decent, I definitely recommend booking this place!
