Pimlico Inn Reviews page 5
Based on 85 Hotel ReviewsThe staff were very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was basic - tea/coffee, orange juice, cereal and toast. The staff were very attentive. However the room was tiny with no wardrobe! Shower and washing facilities were good although there was a musty smell coming from the toilet area. Bed was comfortable
Massive confusion with the booking. There was no internet connection and I was basically waiting until the 11th hour to check in. Very, very poor customer service. Shower - cold water. Sink - over flowed. Very noisy, needs a good clean and revamp. Low budget it is and low budget you get!
Pretty gross place. Hated it. Only good thing about it was breakfast which was toast, tea, coffee and juice. But I wouldn't stay here again
Positive: family room, the beds were fine, your own toilet w/shower, open 24h, friendly staff, easy location, the beds were made every day. Negative: breakfast. There was no ventilation in our room, the room smells and is probably unhealthy if stayed longer time. It was possible to open the window but as the room was in the basement it did no good
Very basic room ensuite room. Lavatory leaked clean water on bathroom floor. Previous occupant's rubbish remained in room. Carpet not hoovered. Clean linen which was a bonus. Fortunately I spent only 7 hrs in room, to sleep. Staff friendly. Combined with No. 45 now
To be honest we were really dissapointed at the standand of the Pimlico Inn when we arrived and booked in we were told our room wasn't ready but there was another one avalible so we agreed to take it and were shown to it. It was awful the supposed ensuite was a shower cubicle at least a foot off the floor the door wouldnt stay closed so we didnt use it, the toilet door wouldn't shut unless slammed that was very basic as well. There was a phone in the room but that didn't work and the bed only had 1 pilow each 1 sheet and a sort of throw over which we ended up folding over 2 use as another pillow. Breakfast was tea and toast, no full english either no orange juice hence the reason that we didnt stay the 2 nights and travelled home late on the friday night instead. Really couldnt belive it didnt even bother asking for a refund would never advise anyone staying there
The price is very reasonable for the fact that the location is so good. It's in central London and you can get to all the attractions really easily. If you're going to be out most of the time this is ideal as you can just use it as a place to sleep. Any longer and depression may sink in! You get what you pay for.
The hotel has changed management on 22nd July '09. I arrived on the night of the 23rd and my room wasn't clean yet. My girlfriend was annoyed and went to sleep completely dressed. The day after, the new management (which is the same of Lidos Hotel) solved the problem quickly. The rooms are old but sufficiently comfortable, unless you are in a romantic escape (in this case, try another place)
Well, not a great first night. Room was in the basement, very dark and dirty room. The bed seemed clean enough though. Then from about one to four o'clock there was a couple fighting in the room above, well they were fighting and jumping about so much bits of the ceiling was coming down. The rooms are ok if all you’re planning on doing is sleeping. Can’t comment on the breakfast, the breakfast to me looked like it was in an office, did not want to risk it.
The condition of the rooms and the whole hotel is very poor. Dirt is everywhere. The location is great and service was just fine.
