Axiom Arch Hotel Reviews page 6
Based on 57 Hotel ReviewsConsidering most other hostels in London are double the price, the value of Pemberton Gardens is very good. Rooms are decent, clean sheets provided, bathrooms/showers are relatively clean and water pressure is amazing. Kitchen is useful and location is good. However, I think they would benefit greatly by installing some sort of desk/area where business is conducted and maybe by hiring another member of staff or 2. I know it's a low key and budget but it was quite unprofessional. I stayed here for a week and my biggest issue (it really was problematic because we were in a room next to them and the walls are paper thin) was with another group of guests who were extremely rude, loud, dirty, disrespectful and broke pretty much every rule that had clearly been put up for them to see, in every hallway and translated into their language. They would scream and holler almost every night well past 2 a.m., smoke cigarettes in the hallway, kitchen and bathroom, blast loud music, hurl themselves against the walls, leave garbage in the hallways (box full of chicken bones, not exaggerating in the least) basically any bad behaviour you could think of. I am used to staying in youth hostels and I have a high tolerance for this kind of thing, but this was unacceptable. I know they were there on a relatively long term basis, they may still be there, and staff should have enforced their rules or evicted them (I know they weren't so on top of paying rent either); if I have to live by the rules of the house, so should everyone else
I was not expecting very much but it was very good for the price! Very good situation, just one minute from the tube. My room had comfortable bed, was clean and with a nice view.
Terrible experience. Pretty dirty rooms and unfriendly staff. An option if you are desperate
Very basic only. No towels given, you have to make your own bed. Showers and toilets fine. Location wise great
Very basic and very cosy hostel without any strict rules. Situated in a great area and has a reasonable price. But remember, you won't get more than what you have paid for
The house was good both for me and my sister: big double room, new furniture and mattresses and big window. Water and heating hot. Close to Archway tube station and main shops. Staff nice and hepful. Wish long life to this house
Very nice place, nice people and nice london zone
Location was fine, room was basic, but clean and comfortable enough. Staff friendly...I'll book again for next time!
It was badly organised, minimal, showers without hot water at the time I wanted a shower. The beds were not very comfortable. But the building from outside was nice and the host was friendly.
Well, I would really recommend that place for young people only. But for young people with low demands who don't want to spend too much money, it's a nice place. It's pretty clean and it's very close to subway station, bus stations, bars, restaurants and shopping. It's hard to find something similar with the same price or even cheaper. I will stay there again at my next trip to London
