Based on 15 Hotel ReviewsExcellent. Thank you very much for everything - the atmosphere, the service, the cleanliness and the position of the hotel. It all helped to make a perfect holiday
Clean room, new bathroom, nice but very small and badly designed. Comfy beds fine for one night. Close to tube, ideal base for exploring London. Continental breakfast included. Staff friendly and helpful
I was in the hotel just for 1 night. (We sorted out our little daughter's passport.) We arrived earlier a bit then 2 o clock (you can check in from 2), but they understood, that we are from far, so we could check in. We called them previously for parking place, and they reserved for us. We choose this hotel because is really close to town center, cheap and has a carparking place. Its a simple hotel, but it really nice. The room we got has a bedside table, a little lamp, a big mirror, a table with drawers, and a wardrobe with hangers, a small telly and a hairdryer, and separate blankets. The doors and windows are old, but still working. The walls and carpet are clean, and the bed was really hard, but for us is really comfy. The little bathroom was exactly the size what you need. It very clean and looks maximum few years old. We got a soap, towels and toilet papers. Nice shower and after 1 min hot water. The view from the room is not the best, but we didn't mind. The receptionists were really kind and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. A bit small but I am on diet so no problem. I felt they really look after us. They asked what we would like: a coffee or tea, and what our baby likes to eat. If I need to go to London again, I will choose them again! Thanks for everything
For the cleanliness and location proximity to the Paddington station, we rate this a perfect stay. For the friendliness or helpfulness of the staff we lower the rating significantly. The room (single private bathroom) was small but quaint. The hike to the third floor is steep, be ready. The breakfast was less than adequate served very late, scant options, bland, unprofessional. We partook in the crowded basement breakfast spread only our first morning and went elsewhere the subsequent 5 mornings. Recommend the Intercoffee Cafe around the corner. Why this place does not offer WiFi to guests, and tells you to log on to the neighbouring hotel? Which we could not log onto unless sitting in a stairway. For the cost, and considering this is 2011 we should have had WiFi and a decent breakfast. If you can overlook those two things and find your way around London on your own without asking the desk staff any advice, you will like your stay here
Good value for money. The room was clean and the staff helpful
The hotel is basic but the location is fine. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were lovely
Too many rules. For example we were told that we were not allowed to open the windows or bring a cup of tea to the room which is ridiculous. Also breakfast was a problem. It was way too little time for all the guests to eat and we ended up standing in line for a long time. Otherwise the place was ok. Very good location
To be honest I think you get more than what you pay for in the Orchard Hotel London. We got on really well with the staff who went out of their way to make sure everything was as we wanted it. The hotel was clean and tidy. We booked with Travelstay who gave us great rates
Worth the rate considering location and amenities. Staff friendly, breakfast smallish but tasty, coffee was very good, room clean. Complaints: hot water took some waiting, wake up call half hour late (so plan ahead)
Orchard Hotel was clean, excellently located and ideal for our stay in London! Would book the Orchard Hotel again
