On arrival at this cheap hotel we were given an upgrade to a larger room that was closer to the restaurant and bar facilites. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel that gets you straight into Prestwick and Ayr town centres. Overall the Muirhouse Lodge was a very great hotel good value for money

We needed a last hotel night before leaving early in the morning from Prestwick to Paris Beauvais. We got there pretty late and there was nobody to meet us, but a message on the door told us to go over the road to the Hotel reception as we did and all went fine. We were showed the room straight away. We couldn't have breakfast as it was from 6am onwards and we were leaving before that, it was still charged though! The room was ok, I suppose but the carpet is very old and dirty, central heating had been turned on full blast and I never found out how to turn it off in the Bathroom. The road is very near and the room was quite noisy. Generally satisfied all together, but I wouldn't use the place as a holiday resort, it's ok for a one night stop

Very comfortable, just 5 mins from Prestwick airport - good bus/train service into Glasgow. Beautiful lodge with recently furbished rooms. Pleasant, welcoming and helpful staff. Bar open until late. Would definitely return to the Muirhouse Lodge if flying to Pretswick again.

A disaster - definitely a place to avoid! Leaking room, two hour wait for dinner, double charging etc. Do not stay here!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again if I am in the area. Considering I did not arrive until almost midnight I could not have asked for a better reception. Alice is so welcoming she is a real treasure to your business. Also, Bernie is a really hard worker and very pleasant even though it was a very busy morning for breakfasts and Gail was very helpful on my departure.
