Hyde Park Suites Reviews page 3
Based on 28 Hotel ReviewsGood location. Apartment is okay but cleanliness could be better. The shower railing in the toilet was rusty and the floor was dusty. Only one washing machine and dryer to service all apartments.
I liked the apartment and it was clean and neat. All the basic stuffs was there. No worries about kitchen equipment. Will recommend this apartment to my friends
Not happy at all with stay. Staff not friendly on arrival or departure. Also was made pay a credit card charge when paying for hotel. Will not be returning.
I called the previous day and was told I could arrive at 8.30am and drop off my bag on the day of check-in. I arrived as agreed and had to take off my shoe to bang on the door, which was not answered for 30 mins. I had a very rude cleaner who opened the door, muttered something and then disappeared before I could say a word. After wandering around wondering what to do, I started knocking on a door which I guessed was the office and got no answer. Suffice it to say that some other member of staff arrived at ten to nine and opened the very door I had been knocking on! To make matters worse she snapped at me rudely and was really nasty. Although the other staff tried to make amends, I am afraid you never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression. The room was really tight and it was supposed to be for 2 people, and someone had been smoking heavily in it - so I had to leave the door and window open for an hour. However, the room was clean and a lot better than the office - which gave me great doubts as to whether I picked the right place.
Great little studio, very clean, and conveniently located in a lovely area of London. Highly recommended. You will definitely have a feeling of staying at your own London apartment, rather than just at a hotel.
Our apartment was very nice: tidy, well-located and very similar to the pictures on the webpage (they've got around two hundred apartments so you probably won't get the exact one in the photo). The best things about it were that it had been revamped only two years ago so everything was new and clean, and that the location was excellent (Bayswater, with two tube stations, lots of shops and restaurants and close to Kensington Gardens). It even had a small balcony and some views. Towels were changed every 3 days and the apartment was cleaned every week. We stayed with our kid and it was comfortable and cosy. All the kitchen devices were new or almost new and worked well (kettle, microwave, toaster, iron...). The shower room was small but smart and clean. The only things that other customers may not like were that it was a fourth floor in a house without elevator and that it was tiny, but then that's London to you. Maybe the owners should add some details like hangers and some small shelves to make the apartment a tad more functional (nowhere to hang a coat and no bedside table for the alarm clock, for instance). Staff was friendly and polite and solved our only request (a baby cot and extra linen). I would definitely recommend it
We were assigned a one bedroom ground floor unit at 81 Inverness Terrace, just down the street from the check-in office (note that some units are below grade, which might not be satisfactory for some). The apartment was ready on arrival at 12:30. The desk agents were courteous. In fact, we were even escorted to our unit by a staff member who just happened to be going that way. The unit was clean, probably recently refurbished, with a modern bathroom (though had a bit of a musty smell). It had such amenities as a flat screen TV, fridge, stovetop, even a clothes washer (which we were told was not typical). There were two cots and a leather sofa in the combined living/dining/kitchenette area. We doubled up the mattresses on one cot and my child said it was comfortable. The bedroom had a queen-sized Murphy bed, which was acceptable in comfort, though two of the wooden pallets supporting the mattress were missing. We found the area very convenient (two tube stations) and appreciated the shops on Queensway Street. Our unit was adjacent to the entry corridor and the front door did not have a silent closer. The walls were thin and we could hear the door slamming and excited young voices well into the night. The rental company might want to consider adding a sign to remind guests to keep voices low on entry at night and install silent closers. We stayed five nights. Towels were changed once - no wash cloths. No other household services were provided(garbage not emptied and no additional toilet paper provided on the day the towels changed, even though we were out of it). Overall, the apartment was satisfactory given the price we paid
The apartment was very clean and refurbished to look like brand new. The fold out couch wasn't working properly, but promptly provided us with fold out beds. Even on the hottest of days we were cool and comfortable in the air-conditioned apartment. Located close to bus stops and underground rail, we could go anywhere easily. Close to lots of eating places and convenience stores we had a variety of choices
Great location and very clean. Only problem was that there was no mirror in the apartment anywhere. Normally I wouldn't care but when you're trying to get ready for a wedding it's a pain!
After reading reviews we were very apprehensive about our booking, but they were unfounded. Accommodation was basic but clean, safe and in a great location. Criticism – stairs not suitable for the elderly. This is not luxury, it’s basic good value for money.
