Kingston Upon Thames Budget Rooms Reviews page 2
Based on 25 Hotel ReviewsEverything was fine. The full kitchen was at my disposal. There was only one minus point, in that wi-fi was not available. I felt like I was back at Uni!
It is a very good option to spend a few days in London. It is well connected and has laundry. It's pretty cheap, quiet and clean.
Good place to stay, easy to find, cheap, clean, had fully equipped kitchen which was helpful. Negatives are it is a bit distant from city, although easy to access
Nice clean comfortable room, pity they are not available all year round
Generally OK to good. Staff seemed a bit over-worked/strained? but rooms good apart from the usual problem of university halls of door banging on closing. Surely somebody can come up with a simple rubber insert or studs - reduce banging noise and make a fortune
Everything was fine. Pleasant quiet and comfortable environment
The room and location were both great. Unfortunately the kitchen was dirty from the moment I arrived and for the two days I was there - all the utensils had been used and were very unpleasant. It was also a bit noisy - there were two men talking loudly and some tourists shouting from room to room in the next block. I also missed having a TV, but otherwise it was good value and I felt safe as a single female.
Room was clean tidy and had all the facilities advertised. I arrived at 11pm and the reception was manned. Would say again
The rooms were clean, but VERY HOT! The windows were on a safety catch, so could not be opened more. There was a group of foreign visitors who persisted in drinking many bottles of beer and shouting about outside our windows, deep into the night, despite my asking for quiet. In the end, I had to threaten to call the Police. We were there to compete in an important race next morning. Our stay was hot, noisy, and restless. The kitchen was not equipped with sufficient cleaning equipment, which made it difficult to wash up properly. The receptionist said that there had been trouble with the other guests before. All round. Potentially a great economical site, but spoilt for by others, and extreme discomfort from overheating! This severely affected the participation and enjoyment of the next day. I have a photograph of the drinkers on my telephone. We should not have to pay for this discomfort
Good value for money. Had an excellent stay. Within great distance of the town, and very short drive or bus ride to Chessington World of Adventures. Excellent for taking your own food to cook, but also great for if you want to eat out. Right on the Thames River, and easy parking
