It was a bit cramped but it was okay and convenient

You can see that rooms were well equipped and organised when they were first decorated but they are old and broken now. They need to renew furniture and deeply clean everywhere. Location, building and environment is very nice and convenient. But with this price I think this is what I can get around that location. Thank you TravelStay

Nice and quiet hostel in London

This London hostel is a good place to stay for a while in London. It is not very tidy but Notting Hill Hostel's personnel is very kind, lovely and always ready to help you if you need information about London

Dirty and old... I didn't like it at all.

I would give minus 5 Stars if possible. The whole hostel is run-down, shabby, stinking and filthy. Rooms are tiny, beds old and noisy, the spring mattresses prick everywhere and sheets were used, stinking and disgusting. Doors and windows are old and do not seem to close safely. Most disgusting were the showers, which were the filthiest and stinking I have ever seen in my life. I do not have high standards, I'm just a student, but this was an intolerable impertinence. Never again!

I do not recommend this place. When I arrived the room clearly hadn't been cleaned, the bed had been slept in and there was luggage left from the last resident which the receptionist moved. No effort was made to apologise for the lack of cleaning, nor was it ever cleaned. The window didn't shut resulting in cold nights (3 night stay). The shared bathroom had an extreme odour of sewer making it almost impossible to use these facilities. The personnel were also unfriendly and rude.

Great location in Central London and cheap for the area. Hostel is cramped, uncomfortable and noisy.

The hostel and my room was small; the kitchen was a mess, dirty & unbearable bathroom. Cleaning down to the guests and I had to put bedding on my own bed. 

Very narrow room with small shower in the cupboard. very cheap though, and clean for a London hostel. Friendly people at reception, crowded kitchen
