Kensal Green Backpackers Reviews page 4
Based on 376 Hotel ReviewsI liked it, was very cheap
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hostel itself has been generally improved in services. I am really thankful for the nice stay.
Overall is nice with all the essential facilties like kitchen, TV room and toilets. The service was great.
It was good
Was good enough place for the very cheap price
Much improved since my last stay.
Very affordable hostel. Warm, I liked it! Friendly service! But a few recommendations: as the fridge is in the common room, it should be opened earlier on morning: now the early-leavers cannot keep the food there. I would have very much appreciated a kettle in the kichen! Anyway, what kind of traveler has any with him/herself? Kitchen is totally useless without pot.
You definitely get what you pay for with this one. I booked a single room for only £30. I wasn't expecting much but I think the least you should expect when paying somewhere to sleep is a mattress you can actually sleep on. I would honestly feel guilty making my dog sleep on this mattress! Expect a lot of noise and door slamming but this is not something I would blame the hostel for. My advise, unless you are going to have a few drinks to help you to sleep, spend a little more and sleep elsewhere if you actually want a proper nights sleep.
The hostel is bare bones. Great value for the price. In close walking distance to Kensal Green tube, a french café that serves full English breakfast, a post office, small markets, etc. The shower is ensuite with a sink. Shared toilets. Staff are multi-lingual, friendly and available 24 hours a day. There's a restaurant attached to it and in the evenings a bar opens. The facilities may be a bit outdated(needs paint).....but it's a great place to crash and very clean. I'd book to stay there again.
Quite clean for a very inexpensive hostel in London
