Bayswater Budget Rooms Reviews page 3
Based on 40 Hotel ReviewsThis place was good value. Clean and tidy rooms and bathrooms, although the walls are a bit worn. However, this was offset by the excellent location; the house is really close to Hyde Park and Lancaster Gate tube station is only 5 mins walk away. I can recommend it to anyone who's price sensitive but doesn't want to have to make too many trade-offs.
Holiday House Hotel was great. Very nice room, freshly painted with new furniture. We had to stay in a double room with private bathroom, and that was the best option there because the common toilets ware dirty. London is great, room was clean so on the whole thumps up with that price
That was a nice little hostel, but the toilet didn't have a light and there was no toiletpaper. Not really us but good for young people
Although I realise that one is not paying a lot of money and cannot expect much, I found the staff very disinterested and at times unfriendly. The guests were allowed to drink alcohol to an unbelievable excess in the TV lounge and the place did not smell very nice. The place was reasonably clean and the facilities were adequate
For the price and location, I was really pleased with Holiday House Hotel. It was basic, clean and spacious. There appeared to be no lightswitch for the bathroom very bizarrely so we had to sleep with the light coming through the almost-closed door. Also the radiator was pumping out heat despite the mild weather and there were no knobs etc to turn it down. Despite this, we slept ok, the mattress was fine and comfy and staff were pleasant and helpful. I will definitely be returning
Hostel was worth more than what we paid for a night in a double room with a twin bed and own bathroom. Got after 2 days new towels and a new duvet cover. Quite good service and clean place to rest in the centre of london. Also we had ourown fridge in our room, which was modern and we had 3 Ikea wardrobes in an good contion. Thanks for the great time in London, guys!
The hotel, though obviously needing a lot of renovation, was adequate for our needs and we found the staff to be helpful. The location was brilliant for us as we were working in Hyde Park in connection with the visit of Pope Benedict
Quite a cheap hotel compared to others in the same location. The room could have been cleaner
Affordable and convenient location, but customer service non-existent. We payed and got the keys; didn't get any info about the facilities (i.e. that there's a common room and a kitchen available). You have to pay £1/hour for Internet. Bathroom OK (no problems with hot water), but saw cockroaches under the sink. Dirty rooms. Door gets stuck due to an uneven floor
This hotel is shabby and in great need of repair. The Bathroom had hairs in shower, and hairs on the bedding, none of which were ours. We came back to find that the bin in the bathroom had been emptied and the door to our room left open. This is not for a family to stay in. Its worth paying a little extra to stay in a better place. I wish we had. The bathroom was grubby and the tap held on in the sink with I don't know what. The grout was missing from floor tiles. It took my husband two minutes to fix the shower head as it wouldn't stay up. There is no repairs being done nor are the rooms properly checked for maintenance. The window was dangerous with no lock. Paint was peeling off the wall and wardrobes you wouldn't want to use
