Based on 14 Hotel ReviewsGood place to stay..very convenient... price is quite reasonable...great value for money
Great rooms, excellent staff and check in/check out. Wonderful facilities and breakfast.
Good value for money. Basic but comfortable room, big and clean bathroom. Beautiful souraundings, very good breakfast.
Good budget accommodation. No complaints at all.
Clean, quiet, basic, quite small but was ok for one night. A long walk into the city but good public transport links. Breakfast - wide selection but canteen style.
I enjoyed my comfortable stay at Edinburgh First / Pollock halls for five days. It would have been much more enjoyable had the heaters always been woking!
Breakfast was delicious.
I will definately book Edinburgh First if I get a chance to visit Edinburgh again.
The accomodation was clean but no tv in the room and nowhere on the campus where you could go to watch tv (I asked as I wanted to catch up on Big Brother). No access to a kitchen either so I had to use the kettle in the room instead.
Too noisy, difficult to get a good night sleep. The walls, are so thin you can hear what's going on next door and I could hear the ground floor waashing machine on the third floor. If you are going stay there take along some ear plugs.
Outstanding for the money. Location is excellent in that you get away from the furious hustle and bustle of downtown, and there is a close up view of King Arthur's Seat, etc. but getting a late night drink/dinner is made a little more complicated. Twin rooms are in Chancellor's Court, which is as good as most hotels, the food is really good and the breakfast is absolutely amazing and really makes this a deal.
Wifi in the rooms would be nice though.
