Dinwiddy House Budget Rooms Reviews page 5
Based on 41 Hotel ReviewsDinwiddy House Budget Rooms is excellent accomodation in central London. Well served by means of transport. Very helpful reception, but rooms need a more frequent cleaning service and kitchen not equipped as you would expect
Everything at Dinwiddy House Budget Rooms was excellent
Room was clean and comfortable bed. My room looked out onto the courtyard and it was often quite noisy at night in the courtyard
My stay was great. Your staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Kithcen clean and great. Will book Dinwiddy House Budget Rooms again
Great location for St Pancras and King's Cross mainline stations, easy 5 minute walk up Pentonville Road. Loads of late night shops, a pub across the road and all sorts of eats available, McDonalds is a 3 minute walk towards the station. Because of vicinity to the above stations, buses and the underground are easily accessible. Go by bus, an all day ticket costs £3.50, the cost of 1 journey is £2, so it's a no brainer really. You get to see the sites of London as you go around, not like the underground where you are crammed in at any time of day not just peak. No. 91 is a useful bus to get over the road from St Pancras; it takes you to Trafalgar Square. The Dinwiddy itself has good, clean, cheap rooms. Take a jar of coffee or tea as there are common kitchens for about 5-6 rooms, fully equipped. Rooms very basic but you get what you pay for, staff friendly and helpful and a good mix of people staying there.
For the price, the accommodation was very good and perfectly adequate for what we wanted. The security set up was very good and the staff very very caring and helpful. The rooms were clean, although some of the fittings were a little 'tired': e.g. carpet, chair seat. A bedside light would have been nice as would a hand towel in addition to the bath towel. I was in A1A6 and the outlet on the floor for the shower looked a bit rough so I kept my feet away from it. Possibly a new one is needed. Also the loo handle broke (all plastic fittings inside) when replacing, it might be an idea to use metal fittings if these would fit the unit. We would be very happy to use the accommodation again or to recommend it to friends, and will probably book with you next year again as we did not have time to visit all we wanted in the area.
