Clink78 Reviews page 4
Based on 57 Hotel ReviewsClean London hostel with great facilities eg free WiFi lounges, big kitchen/dining area, bar with drinks offers, music and pool table. Breakfast is basic but adequate and you get to use proper plates and bowls (not plastic like some hostels). The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and you can access the hostel 24/7. The bunks in the dorms are sturdy with a reading light and handy plug socket by each one. Each bunk also has an overhead locker for small items so your mobile/wallet/passport can be safely locked away while you're sleeping (remember to bring a padlock). However, there aren't enough bigger lockers available just outside the dorms and I had to go downstairs to the dock room to use an electronic locker instead, which you have to pay for. Overall good value for money, I'll definitely book Clink 78 again
Clink78 is good, a little disorganised with the back office and the staff could be more present when a visitor arrives. Otherwise breakfast could be warm and cooked as opposed to cereal and toast. Clean and tidy
Clink 78 was clean and tidy with comfy beds and very friendly staff
Clink78 is supposedly a old prison, that has been renovated and used as a backpacker hostel. The hostel is huge with hundreds of backpackers. If you want to live in a prison with hundreds of other people, stay here. I stayed in a basement room without windows, just like you'd expect convicts to live. One male and one female bathroom for 50-60 people, again just I'd expect in a prison. The beds are solid and firm, but very narrow and cramped on top of each other with. If you are unlucky enough to sleep between two loud snorers, as I was, good luck with your sleep. There is a bar in the basement that plays loud music, but unless your room is adjacent to the bar, you won't have a problem. The breakfast is basic continental (toast, cereal, a watered-down orange juice, coffee/hot chocolate, cheese sticks) - you can have as much as you want, but there is no fruit, eggs, or croissants. The staff is young and nice, and the hostel is a nice place to meet other young backpackers
Clink78 was comfortable and clean
My daughter and I stayed one night in a private twin bed room with en-suite shower and toilet. The checking in process was quick and easy, the staff friendly and helpful and the room clean and of a good standard. I was probably the oldest person in the entire building (56) as the other guests all appeared to be in their teens / early twenties (not a problem if you don't mind looking like the oldest swinger in town). I would definitely book again to stay at Clink 78 again as it is central and economical. It did what it said on the tin!
Nice place to stay with good service and rooms and well connected to the centre
Perfect youth hostel, friendly and affordable
Great hostel, room a bit small (4 people), clean showers (but blazing hot), really really cool setting, great location, friendly staff
Comfortable beds, efficient service, good location. Excellent hostel as a base for young people to explore London
