Cefn Bryn
The rooms at Cefn Bryn are a cheap alternative to hotels in and around the vibrant city of Swansea. If you’re planning a trip to South West Wales and fancy a tranquil, low-cost base from which to explore Wales’ 2nd largest city and its surrounds, then Cefn Bryn is ideal. Situated in the grounds of Singleton Park on the Swansea University Campus, these rooms become available when the students have gone home on vacation. You’ll have 24 hour access to your room and limited parking is available.
You can book a single or twin room at Cefn Bryn which has a wash basin, central heating, tea and coffee making facilities, a desk and a phone (you can buy credit to make calls at reception). You will share conveniently located shower rooms and toilets with other people staying here. Included in the price of your room is a cooked or continental breakfast from the Refectory. There are plenty of other facilities on campus to keep you occupied such as the cheap campus bars and The Taliesin Theatre.

The Swansea University Campus, where Cefn Bryn is based, is surrounded by Singleton Park where events like Party in the Park are held. You will find the Welsh National Pool nearby, as well as the beaches of Swansea Bay. Swansea city centre has a good selection of high street stores and the largest covered market in Wales. To enjoy Swansea’s nightlife you should head to Wind Street and The Kingsway in the city centre. You could always head to The Mumbles and try to complete The Mumbles Mile!

Children are welcome at Cefn Bryn, as long as they stay with an accompanying adult. Your bed linen will be supplied. There is a safe at reception to store any valuables you have.
Although parking is limited at Cefn Bryn there are two car parks bordering the Swansea University Campus.

- By Train
The closest Train Station to Cefn Bryn is Swansea High Street Train Station. You can either catch a taxi from here to Cefn Bryn or take the bus.
- By Car
If you’re travelling Westbound on the M4 exit at junction 42 and get onto the A483 to Swansea. Once you reach Swansea get on the A4067 Oystermouth Road heading towards The Mumbles. Just after Brynmill Lane on your right is the Swansea University Campus where you will find Cefn Bryn.
If you’re travelling Eastbound on the M4 exit at junction 47 and get onto the A483 to Swansea. Follow the signs for High Street and once you reach Wind Street turn right onto the A4067 Oystermouth Road. Follow the remainder of the directions above to get to Cefn Bryn.

Catch a bus from outside Swansea High Street Train Station to the Quadrant bus station. From here the buses in bays 1,2 and 3 will take you to the Swansea University Campus where Cefn Bryn is based.
