Baird House
Baird Halls (five storey block) is in the central zone of Pollock Halls and offers single room B&B. There is a shop, cash-point and taxi rank close by.
All rooms are single-occupancy and bathroom facilities (baths and showers) are shared. On each floor there are small kitchenettes containing a microwave, toaster and kettle. Our catering service offers lunch and dinner in the John McIntyre centre and at the bar. Baird House has its own television lounge, newspapers and vending machines.

The closest airport is Edinburgh. The International Airport has direct flights from a number of European centres. There are regular flights to and from London, and visitors from North America can fly direct to Glasgow (40 miles) from Edinburgh

The King's Buildings Campus can be accessed from the A701 from from the City Bypass (A720) until it becomes Mayfield Road. Entrance gates 3 and 4 can be found on Mayfield Road with entrance gates 1 and 2 on West Mains Road. Visitors using the A1 can approach the University following the City Bypass (A720), turn off at the A701 junction until it becomes Mayfield Road (The Science and Engineering Faculty) and continue straight ahead until through Causewayside until you reach the central area
