Albion House Hotel Reviews page 4
Based on 54 Hotel ReviewsI needed to be near the British Library for research and I couldn’t really have found a better location. It’s a short and pleasant walk along backstreets to the library but also virtually next door to the train stations, so access to everywhere else is great (including Paris!). The hotel itself is clean and modern, even if the colour scheme does hurt the eyes a bit. My room was a bit pokey but that’s to be expected for this part of town and on such a budget. I could have used in-room WiFi, because it’s only available in communal areas. I don’t like working in that kind of environment and worry about people looking over my shoulder when I’m internet banking (paranoid maybe). The breakfast was great and the 11 am check-out time is merciful if you’ve got a bit of a hangover! Would certainly book again
Lovely short stay at Albion House Hotel, the room was lovely and clean with a comfy bed. Very handy for getting on the tube and train. Friendly staff
Hi, I thought the room at Albion House Hotel was nice, comfortable and clean. I think they just needed some fresh water bottles in room for drinking, since there were only two glasses and tap water. The downside of the stay was I didn't think the manager was friendly and welcoming
My stay in The Albion House Hotel was another great experience. The cleanliness is outstanding , breakfast is excellent and the staff really friendly, helpful and awesome. In fact I extended my stay for another week. I would definitely recommend your hotel to my friends, family and anybody as a matter of fact. Thank you and well done, keep up your great work
Great location. Good staff. Let down on arrival as looking forward to a hot drink marred by empty sugars left in, a once wet tea bag and dirty stirrer. Bathroom door handle coming off, easy maintenance job should be fixed and mildew at shower base also solvable. Extra charged breakfast adequate. Would not bother with so called continental. This London hotel served its purpose for a short stay
Lovely clean hotel in Central London, the staff were so helpful and polite, nice clean room, we will book Albion House Hotel again when we come up to London
Very nice, clean hotel in London, friendly staff lovely breakfast very close to Kings Cross Station, would stay again
Albion House Hotel was a good choice considering the location and very reasonable price. The rooms were clean and tidy. The staff was friendly. The breakfast choices were limited though and could be improved compared to the other London B and B choices in the area. Overall it was a nice experience
Beautifully clean room, with all mod cons and the continental breakfast was more than sufficient. The staff and management were friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend Albion House Hotel
At the Albion House Hotel, we were pleased with the quiet area, with a pretty view of the square and central location. The rooms were very basic with some useful appliances. The room was clean although there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke as you walked into the main door. The décor was very dated and the curtains in the hallways needed a good wash! The beds were very narrow; it's a good job we're not any larger! Also there was only one pillow which was very thin. The duvets on 3 out 4 beds were practically see-through and my sister had to pile towels and coats over her in the night. In the morning, the shower was absolutely freezing and although we left the water to run for a few minutes, all 4 of our showers were unbearably cold. This is not acceptable in the middle of winter. The breakfast was disappointing to say the least. The cereal choices were very limited. The bowl of tinned fruit looked very unappealing and as for the croissants - disgusting! The poorest of quality. How hard is it to buy decent croissants? There was only a choice of white bread for toast, again not acceptable! The eggs didn't look appetising and the ham needed replenishing, but this wasn't done. The milk and juice were warm. This is definitely NOT our idea of a 'continental breakfast'. The whole time we sat eating our breakfast, 3 or 4 members of staff sat chatting behind us in the kitchen in clear view. I tried to get their attention numerous times but they were too busy chatting to hear me. Considering the price we'd paid we had realistic expectations, but simple things like a warm shower and fresh fruit/brown bread at breakfast is not much to ask. We would stay in Argyle Square again, but would choose a different hotel for sure
