The Samuel Smith brand of pubs are phenomenal finds (if you can find them) and at the head of their fleet is arguably the Princess Louise. Aside from their heavily reduced in price drinks, all of their own make and brand, the pubs have been maintained as they were originally intended, rather than repurposed and stripped of any character. The Princess Louise has ornate, frosted glass windows to the front and an interior chocablock with booths, but not the kind you’re thinking of. These are frosted glass divisions coming off the bar itself, so the bartenders go round their bar serving people in essentially private rooms, except they’re not private and you can wonder round them until you find a free stool or two. Which might prove tricky; it’s a popular place.
