To get to Journeys Brighton via train, travel into Brighton Central train station which is just five minutes away from the hostel.
- On Foot
From Brighton Central Train Station the hostel is just a 5 minute walk. Leave the station via the main exit and head to the right towards Terminus Road. Then double back onto Trafalgar Street, which passes under the station concourse. At the end of Trafalgar street turn right at the traffic lights onto St George’s Place, cross the road at the next set of lights and Journeys Brighton will be directly in front of you.

The sleeping area of Journeys Brighton Hotel was fine and I liked the curtains on the bunk that did provide privacy. However, on my first night, the door in the shower cubicle that I used was faulty. After I had a shower I was locked inside. The door would not unlock. The light had turned off and I was alone. I tried to get the door open and the door handle came off. I was there inside the shower cubicle for, I estimate, 30 mins or more. I had no clock with me. I kept calling for help to try to get someone's attention. There was little ventilation in the shower cubicle. Finally someone came and unlocked the door from the outside and I was free. I did complain to a staff member at reception whom investigated it and said he would see to it that the door is repaired. I was not happy. The toilet door on my floor was broken and would not close nor lock.
Amazing experience at Journeys Brighton Hostel. I travelled alone to Brighton and finally I found a lot of nice people! Also, this hostel is very comfortable, good atmosphere and the most important: good facilities and location! It was perfect. I will go back to here
