As Kensington has three tube stations for you to use, you’ll find it incredibly easy to travel across London. High Street Kensington, Gloucester Road and South Kensington are all on the Circle and District lines, and the latter two are also on the Piccadilly Line. You can travel direct to the neon lights of Piccadilly Circus in 7 minutes and Leicester Square in only 9!

You can get off at Covent Garden and be browsing the vibrant stalls of Covent Garden Market, or touring the Houses of Parliament in Westminster in around 10 minutes. The fascinating Tower of London is only a few minutes’ walk from Tower Bridge Tube Station, which is 25 minutes away. The tube stations at Heathrow Airport are only 35 minutes away too!

If you decide to drive to Kensington there are plenty of NCP car parks dotted around the area. For example, you’ll find a multi storey NCP car park on Young Street and an NCP surface car park just off of Bayswater Road in Kensington Palace Gardens.

You can travel around London in taxis too. Fortunately there are plenty of taxi firms in Kensington so you can take your pick, depending upon where you are in the district. These include Global Car Service on Cromwell Road near High Street Kensington Tube Station, Internet Minicabs in Stanhope Gardens on the doorstep of Gloucester Road Tube Station and Local Radio Cars on Harrington Road near South Kensington Tube Station.

Kensington may be crammed with mind blowing tourist attractions, but there’s plenty to see and do within the surrounding areas that you can walk to too! Starting out on a walking voyage of discovery at High Street Kensington Tube Station and you can get to the massive Earls Court Exhibition Centre in 14 minutes. Talking of exhibition centers, Olympia is only a 17 minute walk away too!

If you’ve exhausted Kensington’s shopping options you could always take the 25 minute stroll to Portobello Road Market in chic Notting Hill, or Kings Road in Chelsea. Even Harrods in exclusive Knightsbridge is a mere 30 minutes stroll away. Whilst you’re here you could walk to Buckingham Palace which is only 20 minutes more!
