It’s really easy to get around London on the tube from Hammersmith. You can use Hammersmith Tube Station, which is on the Hammersmith & City, Piccadilly and District lines. In just 7 minutes, you could get off at South Kensington and head to the huge Natural History Museum. After 11 minutes, you can alight at Victoria and take the short walk to breathtaking Buckingham Palace. The likes of the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey are only 15 minutes away if you get off at Westminster. Even Heathrow Airport is only 28 minutes away! Alternatively, if you are in the West of the district you could hop on a tube at Ravenscourt Park Tube Station, where you can travel to Kew Gardens Station in only 9 minutes.

If you’re looking for somewhere central to park in Hammersmith you should head to Hammersmith Grove NCP car park, which is in Hammersmith Grove. This is really close to Hammersmith Tube Station.

Another way to get around Hammersmith is by taxi, a great late night option after going to places like the Hammersmith Apollo and Riverside Studios. You could hail a black cab, or use one of the taxi companies in the area. You will find Tara Cars on Beadon Road (really close to Hammersmith Tube Station), or Kings Cars which is on King Street near Ravenscourt Park Tube Station.

There’s nothing to stop you exploring the surrounding attractions of Hammersmith on foot either! Start out at Hammersmith Tube Station and you can get to another great entertainment venue, the Shepherds Bush Empire, in only 15 minutes. Just a few minutes further from here is Europe’s largest shopping centre, Westfield London. If you fancy walking to Kensington, it will only take you 20 minutes to get to the upmarket shops of Kensington High Street. Other equally important attractions that are only 30 minutes away on foot include the massive Earls Court Exhibition Centre, the Queens Park Rangers’ Loftus Road Stadium, the London Wetland Centre in Barnes and Chiswick House. Even Notting Hill’s bustling Portobello Road Market is only 45 minutes away on foot.
