As you’ll be so close to Southwark Tube Station when you stay in Bankside you’ll be able to hop on the Jubilee Line and get off at the world-famous Baker Street ten minutes away. You’ll find the Sherlock Holmes Museum and the capitivating Madame Tussauds wax museum here. You could also head to North London and get off at trendy Camden Town. It’s only fifteen minutes away by tube and you can enjoy Camden’s famous market here. You should also make sure you get off at St James’s Park just five minutes away to visit the Queen’s official London residence, Buckingham Palace. If you fancy some greenery, Hyde Park Tube Station is only ten minutes from Southwark. Alternatively you could take the twenty five minute journey to Kew Tube Station and visit the stunning Kew Gardens.

If you decide to drive around Bankside you’ll find car parking at Union Car Park on Crucifix Lane and Snowsfields NCP on Library Street.

If you don’t want to drive or use public transport you could always jump in a taxi. Gray’s Inn Taxis are located on Tooley Street, near London Bridge Station, and Capital Taxis are on Great Suffolk Street near Southwark Tube Station.

As Bankside occupies such a fantastic location you’ll find it easy to walk to amazing London attractions in surrounding areas. The Imperial War Museum is a mile away and it’ll take you about eighteen minutes to walk there. Why not cross the river via the Millennium Bridge and pay a visit St Paul’s cathedral? It’ll only take you twenty minutes. The fantastic London Eye at Waterloo will give you breath-taking views of the Capital and it’s just fifteen minutes away. If you fancy a longer walk, you can get to beautiful Regents Park in about forty minutes, and the Madame Tussauds wax museum is only five minutes further. If you want to experience the excitement and nightlife of London’s West End, it’s only a couple of miles away (so you can get there in about thirty minutes). You definitely won’t need to rely on public transport when you stay in Bankside!
