Customers search for available hotels from the search page. The search results then show availabel accommodation in order of price. Customers will check the hotel information and select a room to book. On the final book page they will enter their payment details and make a booking.
You will instantly receive a confirmation email and fax and a record of the reservation in your hotelier login. Your back office login will also allow you to view your new reservations and quickly and eassily change prices or availabilty at any time.

We specialise in providing a high volume reservation service for all forms of low-cost accommodaiton, including independently operated hotels, bed and breakfasts, hostels, apartments, long-lets, houseshares, university accommodation providers and homestays.

TravelStay's two main services are:

An online directory of budget-accommodation with online availability for immediate confirmed bookings, located at www.TravelStay.com.

A Budget Accommodation-Booking-Engine allowing accommodation provdiers to recieve confirmed bookings from their own websites, named the Budget Accommodation Booking Engine, or 'BABE'.

Book: Secure booking form, taking payment details and booking deposits, and providing immediate email confirmation to the customer.

It's easy! Just follow the steps given below:

  • This will allow you to create your basic setup, assign your room types and login to your hotelier back office and 'complete your hotel setup'.
  • Once approved, your free listing will written up by a member of staff on TravelStay.com and you will recieve training on your new easy-to-use hotel back office.
  • We will activate your listing when you are ready to receive additional confirmed reservations and booking revenue!

The online bookings service provided by TravelStay is being hosted at a high quality, 'mission critical', reliable data centre in Alexandria, Virginia, USA. This Data Centre is equipped with necessary back-up support as well as high quality connectivity to 12 Internet backbones with a total bandwidth of 600 Mbps, with a peak time utilization of only 30%- 40%. It is managed by our technical partners-who provide a dedicated managed hosting service for the online booking engine.

The rest of the TravelStay website is hosted in the UK, with an optimal uptime availability guarantee of 99.99%.

The TravelStay booking system utilizes a three-tier Internet application architecture based on relational databases, middleware application services and browser-based clients. The application has been developed on the Oracle8i RDBMS, Java, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, and XML technologies.

No on-site installation of any software or proprietary hardware is required at the users end to access and maintain the service (all user interfaces are Web based).

Yes. You can modify the number of available rooms and the sell price for each room type for any set of dates.

You can have both standard and discounted special offer rates and breakfast supplements as well as discounts for long stays, students and groups.

You can browse or search for reservations and cancellations. Booking performance reporting is also available.

13. Can I receive request-based bookings fromTravelStay.com? top

No. In order for your accommodation to appear in the directory and take bookings, your will need to offer available rooms at competitive prices. This saves you, the customer, and TravelStay the time spent dealing with booking requests that may not be satisfied.

14. How will the customer know when their booking is confirmed? top

Once the transaction is complete (after the customer pays a booking deposit using valid credit card details), the booking service will display a confirmation screen and issue a booking confirmation email to the customer. The customer will produce this confirmation upon arrival at your hotel.

15. How will the central booking office be informed of a booking? top

As soon as the customer's deposit payment is authorised via TravelStay, an automated booking confirmation will be securely emailed to the booking office giving all reservation and payment details. This confirmation can also be received by fax if required.

This confirmation can also be received by fax if required. The accommodation provider will also be able to veiw details of each reservation via the hotel back office and is required to confirm acceptance of each reservation online, ensuring that the accommodation provider, TravelStay and the customer have all agreed to the terms of each and every reservation made.

Yes. We can incorporate your customised messages into the booking confirmation emails.

18. Who is responsible for collecting the booking payment? top

Customers pay a booking deposit online directly to TravelStay. This is equivalent to the commission value. The balance is paid by the custoemr directly to the accommodation upon their arrival. This will be shown on the booking confirmation automatically sent to customers, accommodations, and to TravelStay the moment a booking is made.

19. Do customers have the option of providing their credit card details by phone? top

Yes. Customers can provide their credit card details by phone via our call centre if they prefer.

20. Do you store customer credit card details in your servers? top

We can provide the customer payment details in the case of a late cancellation or non-arrival . These will be transmitted in a secure mode for in order for any necessary charges to be made.

21. Is the system set up with SSL security? top

Yes. We use the industry standard 128-bit strong SSL encryption certificate to protect the all pages that feature credit card information. This is certified by Verisign.

Your accommodation(s) can be featured in TravelStay.com free of charge. TravelStay charge a commission for the extra online confirmed bookings provided through TravelStay.com. Contact us to request pricing information.

26. Are there any other costs associated with using TravelStay.com? top

Only in exceptional circumstances, where the accommodation provider asks TravelStay Network to provide extra services. For example if the accommodaiton receives a reservation based upon the availability that they feature but subsequently cannot accept the reservation due to lack of availability, they may ask TravelStay to transfer the reservation to an alternative accommodation. TravelStay may charge up to £20 to book-out a reservations.
