We’re going to go out on a limb and say that this Victorian Corner Pub is in London’s top three, and that’s largely due to the fact it’s unspoilt. For this reason, it can get very busy at peak drinking times, but jostling around the small bar and carrying handfuls of spilling pints to one of the booths or the little tables for your raucous friends is part of its charm. The ceilings are very high, and globes of all kinds adorn the rafters and dado rails. Magnificently, there isn’t a restaurant to gastropub-ify this great little drinker, meaning you can just enjoy a relaxed, cheap pint in warm, friendly surroundings at Globe Tavern.
