Get in the festival mood
The perfect way to celebrate the start of term or the end of exams, London's free festivals are a celebration of music, arts and culture. Taking place at the tail end of summer in September, the Regent Street Festival features an eclectic mix of music and fashion shows for one day only. Also taking place during September, the Liberty festival boasts a host of arts events, musical performances, street theatre and interactive workshops.
And, of course, one of the largest street parties in the capital, the Notting Hill Carnival is like no other event in London over the summer. The highlight of the August Bank Holiday weekend, there is so much colour, music, food and entertainment going on that you won't know where to start.
