The Portobello Film Festival has grown to offer much more than simply a cinematographic experience. Street musicians and circus acts appear throughout the event in the courtyard outside the cinema to Westbourne Studios and also in the park at Portobello Green over the course of the kids' weekend. The event has long been used as a platform by various directors to launch their careers, with both Guy Ritchie and Shane Meadows among the many filmmakers to have showcased here before achieving global acclaim.
